View Full Version : Service Charges

Hey did anyone else notice the extremely high service charges. For 2 $499 tickets service charges were $111.00, for camping in ED2 $43.00, for two GA tickets $56.00.

Excuse me but does that seem over the top to anyone but me...?

It was totally over the top, but if you think about it, $99 for 2 days worth of performers is damn cheap. I pay that much for one concert! Even with the fees I think you get more than what you pay for!

TRUE!!! That was the final deciding factor last year. I counted how many people i was going to be seeing that i WANTED to see and divided the cost by it. it came out to like 10-15 bucks a head! I didnt even do that this year :D it was too much fun last year! and B&D on their farewell tour OMG!!!

i bought 3 pairs of 2-day passes at $99 each and then one ED II spot for $250. Grand total after service charges? $638.80. So, if you add 99(3)+250= 547. 638.30 - 547 = 91.30. That's $91.30 in service charges! OUCH! Im guessing since Saturday and Sunday they have to print a separate ticket for, it charges for each one printed rather than the event itself. Oh well.... I guess it's worth it hahaha

Hey, I checked my credit card account and not only is there a pending charge for $766.95 (Which matches the amount on my order confirmation) but also an additional $167.40 pending charge? WTF is that second charge for? It is from Goldenvoice?

Get in line REBAFAN! If you look on this message board under the "Questions" section you will find pages of posts regarding this complete disaster, and these are only the people who noticed the seating chart error right away. I wonder how many people will get to Stagecoach and be looking for their seats in the wrong place...boy are they gonna be pissed when they realize where their seats really are!

Just checked mine and yes I have an additional charge also above and beyond my e-mailed invoice confirmation. Not to mention the overcharge of the service charges on the e-mail invoice.

I just checked both my GV acct and my CC acct. According to the invoice at GV I should receive a credit for my service charges. According to my CC acct however I recieved only half of the credit I should have. At least I don't have any additional charges like some others!

BTW where were the 99.00 passes? Mine were way more than 99.00 that was not even a option.. wth?

TequilaGirl
10-19-2009, 09:49 AM
Mine were $107. I only had the option of $107 or $137. I emailed them regarding the charge but haven't yet heard back. Not that I should be surprised with the way this whole thing has gone.

they were supposed to be 99.00 not even a option. it was very confusing and it was not this way last year at all. Im very disappointed on how this all went down. they will be getting a call from a very unhappy customer. ive done tickets for 4 years on this event and never had a problem.

I bought last years tix in April. I had no issues what so ever. I wanted to get them early this time but I'm thinking now I should've waited. This is only my 2nd time going so hopefully next year they will have this straightened out prior to tix going on sale.

I checked my card and got a refund for the service charge, but I still have two charges from Goldenvoice - one for the amount I was supposed to be charged (first payment) and another charge from Goldenvoice for $167.40? Anyone know what that charge is for?

just ordered our passes for El Dorado 1 RV...had to place two seperate orders...new rule only one El Dorado 1 RV pass per household...that bites...$33.85 service charge times 2! why the new rule? for four years I have always purchased 2 RV camping passes at the same time

How did you place your order? There is no rule.

Kbug&Shanrock
10-20-2009, 01:30 PM
I tried ordering 2 online. The only choice it gave me was 0 or 1 so I called Ticketmaster and that is when I was told I could only order one per household. I have since contacted info@stagecoach.com and found out that I just got screwed by Ticketmaster. Nothing like eating another $35 in useless service fees.

Cooter
10-20-2009, 01:37 PM
service(convenience) charges are usually on a per ticket basis, so i am guessing you would have been charged twice no matter what.

the only fee that would be a double charge is the order processing fee, which is usually around $5, i think.

Kbug&Shanrock
10-20-2009, 01:42 PM
it isn't the money so much as the bad information that ticketmaster gives out...it just amazes me how much they screw up. the main thing is I have my tickets and April will be here before we know it and really that is all that matters!

How did you place your order? There is no rule.

Ticket master says that your order could be cancelled if you violate the one ticket/household rule. They won't let the order go through. We had to have three different people in our group order a site each for EDII, which involved the money having all been sent to one person then having to be split and sent to the two others just to get the three spots our group needs. Major headache.

Yes there was. I tried to order 3 RV spots and it wouldn't let me. Had to run all over the place depositing money in other peoples accounts so I could have 2 other people buy them. Which meant an extra transaction fee. PITA! It gave me the OPTION to buy 6 spots, but wouldn't let me execute when it came down to it, and Ticketmaster said they could cancel anyone without notice if more than 1 was purchased.

Oh, and does ANYBODY else not get the "convenience" fee TM charges? I mean, am I INCONVENIENCING them by buying a ticket???

There is a 1 ticket limit per RV spot for the tow pass. You can get more than one RV spot though.

Kbug&Shanrock
10-21-2009, 07:05 AM
sorry countrygurl but that is not what Ticketmaster is telling us...I wasn't trying to order a tow vehicle pass just 2 RV passes and they told me I needed two households and two credit cards to do that.

Countrygurl
10-21-2009, 08:32 AM
That is incorrect. You may purchase more than one rv ticket. Try again. Tell them to have them to have their supervisor contact the Ticketmaster representative for goldenvoice to verify it. This is ridiculous that TM is unable to communicate proper information to their reps. You would think they could put a note on the screen or something.

Any chance of someone posting what the service charges were supposed to be so that we can check and see if we were charged correctly. Right now everyone is confused because no one knows what they were supposed to be charged. I would think this would clear up alot of questions.

For example:
The service charge for ED2 tickets would be ????
The service charge for a GA weekend pass would be????
The service charge for a $499.00 reserved ticket would be?????

Also are the service charges per ticket or per purchase?

I wasn't trying to get a tow pass either (what is that???). I just wanted 3 RV sites. Too late now, we all just got them separate, it worked out ok, just a little extra runnin around and an extra $10 in processing fees. Is it illegal to seel venue tickets through anywhere BUT ticketmaster? I just HATE how they're such a monopoly, it's just ridiculous.

Yup, $5 x 3 rather than just one, plus my time running around depositing checks in other peoples accounts. Just an extra hassle is all, and the extra $10 that could have gone towards a beer (or a bag of ice from what I hear) at Stagecoach!

This is incorrect. Sorry if I come across as argumentative, but buying the tickets, online, you CANNOT buy more than one spot. You cannot proceed. There are postings on the page telling you only one ticket per household. That is what happened to us. That was why we had to have three seperate people in our group purchase the tickets.

I think I hate Wal-Mart for a different reason. It's dirty, and SUPER packed with people who don't speak English and there is NOBODY to help you and when you actually FIND somebody, they have NO clue what they're doing. Speaking for the Wal-Mart closest to my house which is in Santa Ana, blech.

We have 3 Walmarts here in good ol' Bakersfield - one is about to close, but that's only to open a SUPER Walmart. At least the store will be clean at first and maybe somewhat in order? We're a town full of class with our super walmart and super target.

Our Hooters is opening next week though...I'm excited for that! Haha
