Wasn't the age for needing a ticket listed at 14? When we logged on this morning it's now at 10!!!! We have a big group going that all have 11 and 12 year olds. I would have swore the age for needing to purchase a ticket was 14. Now we need to buy tickets for all of our kids!! Definately gonna change our plans with this slow economy. Damn that sucks!!!!!!!:(

Yes, they changed it. Had it confirmed by Countrygurl that the change is official. Mine is 13. First year I've had to pay for her. Sucks!

This is indeed a big problem for me as well. I hope they reconcider the rule and raise it to the 14 it has been in the past.

I hope they change it. We have really been looking forward to this. Our kids all love to go and I'm not sure we can afford to bring them now. They make alot of money off this event. We have a big group (30 people) who all camp the entire weekend (4-5 rv spots), buy beer, food, t shirts, etc. We think it is so wrong that they waited till the last day to change this

You know how much they make on this event? Do you also know how much they spend to put it on?

In response to why did they wait until the last day regarding the age. It was posted the day the lineup was announced that the age was 10 this year.

See that's that whole 'making sense' thing. They just don't cotton to that around here. Sorry.
I'm still gonna grumble at Countrygurl between now and then because I've been able to bring Little Bit for free the last two years and now I have to pay for her too. Cause I should keep getting by for free. Well, I should. I'm entitled. No special reason. I just am. So there.:p
In all seriousness, it was a bit upsetting to see that change this year, and I do understand that it can cause difficulties for those that were counting on that help to be able to afford bringing their children with them, but we were given this information six months in advance. And, much as it pinches the wallet if you have several children that are affected, age ten is not an unreasonable limit to allow in for free.
The good news to keep in mind is that you can secure the campsite now and do the festival tickets on lay-away. You don't have to buy them all now if you're doing General Admission. You don't want to wait until the last minute, just in case they do limit the number of GA sold this year, but you don't have to rush into it this week either. It is an option at least.
