I just got the text from go country announcing this!!! They are going to be playing a full hour of their music tonight at 7pm . . . I cant believe it . . .

To Our Fans:

After 20 years of making music and riding this trail together, we have
agreed as a duo that it's time call it a day. This ride has been
everything and more than we could ever have dreamed.... We owe it all
to you, the fans. If you hear rumors, don't believe them, it's just
time.

We will release our #1's and then some" on September 8th and bid
you farewell one last time in 2010, with The Last Rodeo Tour...(dates to be
announced).

The big ones hardly ever come to LA, it's always Irvine or that place out east, whatever it's called.

Do you mean the place in Devore? Used to be "Glen Helen" then "Blockbuster Pavilion" (I think?) - I believe now it's the San Manuel Ampitheatre.

Saw Brooks & Dunn back in February - they played at Universal (Gibson Ampitheatre) - smaller venue than I'd have thought! Some play Staples...?

You forgot that after it was blockbuster then it was Hyundai . . . lol i hate how often venues change names . . .

I still call it "Glen Helen" !! Yeah, I hate that venue...it's gotta be someone I'm DYING to see in order to get me to go there.

Yea, I still call it that too :) After never even making it to the No Doubt / Blink 182 show a few years back (sitting on freeway - already in the exit lane - for hours)...it took Toby performing there to get me there again - but had to get there EARLY to tailgate - no way I was sitting in crappy disorganized traffic again!

shyte this is bad news for country fans. In October they are playing down here at the Viejas Casino if anybody wants to hook up for that. I will go ahead and buy some tix. It's a cool outdoors venue, standing room only on hilly grass area....let me know if you are in.

yeah, took us 7 hours to get in from newport. after sitting on the 15 for about 5 hours we figured it out, ugh, the trick was to get off the 15 and take surface streets to the 215. we parked and as we were walking in no doubt was just starting their set, completely missed blink :( got our tickets refunded and they gave us more tickets to another show, but i didn't even use them. fortunately no doubt took pity on the situation and added a make up show at universal amp. a few days later. pulled front row seats for that one. i have not been back out to devore since and have no plans to in the future.

Bump - new info!!! B&D are doing a show here at Viejas Casino on Saturday October 3.

I have two tixs. They are GA only. Not sold out yet. Anybody down to join me?

ME!!!! Hmmm, lemme see if my boy will be out here that weekend (my last free weekend for a long time) and if he wants to go. If tix aren't sold out by next week, we can buy some too.

I actually just got tickets for me, KittyLeigh and our friend Tracy (who was at Stagecoach) to see them in Vegas at the Hilton on December 5th. Who wants to meet up in Vegas with us??!

I was thinking of going to that one, because the Viejas one is standing room only and it's all ages. Don't have anyone to go with anymore, but I can probably find somebody by then.

lol my mom said the oak ridge boys were never her fave but i like them and we're both thrilled for merle haggard oh and i think i might faint when i see little jimmy dickens!! and i know i'll cry when sugarland comes on i cried tears of joy when i saw them on the lineup lol!
