Loretta Lynn to perform in the Fair's
Summer Concert Series on Friday, June 19
Loretta Lynn, the queen of country music, will make a rare West Coast appearance here at the San Diego County Fair.
For more than four decades now, Lynn has fashioned a body of work as artistically and commercially successful as any female performer you’d care to name. Her music has confronted many of the major social issues of her time, and her life story is a rags-to-riches tale familiar to pop, rock and country fans alike.
Her many hits include “You Ain’t Woman Enough (to Take My Man),” “Don’t Come Home A’Drinkin’ (with Lovin’ on Your Mind),” and of course, “Coal Miner’s Daughter.” By the time of her last major hit — “I Lie” — Lynn could count 55 Top 10 hits, 27 of which hit the top spot.
This show is free with Fair admission for unreserved seats. but you can buy a reserved seat (which includes Fair admission) and enjoy the Fair right up to concert time. This show also will have a dinner package, where you can enjoy a gourmet dinner in the famed Turf Club, preferred parking and VIP concert seating.
For ticket and show details, plus the rest of the Summer Concert Series fantastic lineup, please see Fair's Web site, www.sdfair.com/entertainment.
The San Diego County Fair runs June 12-July 5; closed two Mondays, June 15 and 22. This year's theme is "Music Mania," celebrating music of every era and every genre.
