$299 Tickets

What's up gang? Hey we are thinking about upgrading to the reserved section next year. I noticed they were selling a lot of the $299 priced tickets a couple of weeks before the show. What exactly did you get for $299? Just special seats or did you get food and drinks?

You got a free $5 chair.

You get access to the VIP area that's left of the stage which includes additional food, full bars, covered seating, and portapotties.

This year we also had an additional area that was right of the mane stage (for seat purchasers only) that had additional portapotties, covered seating & full bar. THANK YOU GOLDENVOICE!!!

I was in the next section up but after reading all the threads about the massive amount of people there i think it is well worth the extra cash to have the VIP area... short lines for restrooms.... verry short beer/alcohol/soda lines... and that extra area to the right of the stage was a blessing.... took only mins to go to the restroom and grab a beer, and get back to your seat... and at the end of the weekend you get to take the chair home... I am glad i was there and missed all the crowds and drunk folks in the GA area... i just hope next year GV will provide an area for the vip/reserved seats people on the smaller stages... paying 300/500/800 for a seat, it would be nice to have a vip area at all stages....

They did this for SC 1 - at the furthest stage - with bar and some seating - but since it was outside the tent - not great for the music or sight lines....

It was (my guess) expensive to operate - as they needed security to patrol the area and since drinks were being sold - no one under 21 was allowed in (no matter that they had a vip seat - I know this has changed with SC 3) Don't see them going back to this - imo.....

GA was a lil over crowded at times and alot of pushing and shoving and people trying to steal your space when you have been there all day for that space :/
