OK El Dorado 1, Worth It?

I've been reading mixed reviews on all of the talent, but I've been dying to know about camping in El Dorado 1.
My wife and I along with 3 other couples, have attended the first 2 Stagecoaches and stayed in El Dorado 1, and had the greatest time. We all decided against attending this because of the outraigious price increase. So my question is to you, El Dorado 1 Vets......Was it worth it???

I think it was much much quieter in EDI. We walked around a few times...and pretty board. We had more fun in EDII last year. But just hated the walk.

OH..was there a tram from there? I saw the signs for them but never saw one and I was on the end aisle.

I had a good time in EDI! We had great neighbors too! There was some partying going on, but for the most part, it was pretty tamed partying.

The RV spots were accurately marked, electric worked well for us and the lines for the showers weren't very long. I was very leary on getting a spot with electric this year, especially with the fiasco that happened in 2008 with the electric spots. When you are paying double what they charged for the spot last year, your hoping that everything is as it's supposed to be.

All around good experience for us :)

3rd year in ED 1 and this was the best - many reasons stated before - Power was excellent (50 amp) - showers good, keep the grounds clean - and the walk to the gate.... we got lucky with our spot this year and it was easy.... Space sizes respected and lined correctly.

Kinda sounds like it wasn't quite the Party Zone as it has been in the past. We're really sorry we missed it this year.

Totally worth it to me and my group! Great camp area, good layout, close to entrance, clean facilities, and great neighbors! I paid the $750 tab and then asked 6 other people to give me $150 each (couldnt charge my wife ya know), which covered the camping fee and food and liquor i bought at costco. My advise would be to invite at least 15 people next year cuz half of them will flake on you... Luckily other friends of mine came last minute.

last year we were in ED2.. non stop party the whole time...loud, crazy at times, but no doubt, lots of fun. LONG walk to the venue entrance. This year ADA, ED1... very close to the entrance...and very quiet. very little partying in our area. Kind of miss the partying, so will maybe re think location for 2010 ??

Not sure about total numbers, but it seemed there were lots of empty spots in ED1, and the ADA section wasn't filled either.

ADA was wide open!! I did notice that EDI was pretty empty considering they said they sold out. Just did not get it. Plenty of spots open all weekend. In fact rows were open up to Saturday.
