Thank you goldenvoice for giving us a separate VIP area for VIP seat purchasers that was located right of the mane stage. It was really nice to have a shaded area with tables, bathrooms & drinks for easy access and return to our seats.

Thank you for thinking in advance of having different colored wrist bands to make this effort a whole lot easier for us and the security people checking us.

Thank you to all the hardworking security people that kept people out of that VIP area without proper TICKETS.

Thank you to all the hardworking security people that kept people out of my VIP seat section that didn't belong there and made them stay near their seat who did so we could all enjoy the festival.

Thank you for basically barricading each section to make this happen.

Thank you for so much for additional shaded seating in the BBQ area to be able to sit down and eat.

Thank you for a really good SC09. Hopefully I will be able to return for a SC10.

I second all of that!
In other words,
What she said.

I did my best to personally thank each security person I ran into BUT I know it's not enough. I plan on writing a letter to Goldenvoice and I hope everybody else does too.

I discovered (by my thank you's) that some people were actually volunteers and some were military and some were etc....

They all deserve a round of applause because some of the "people" were not so very polite or nice or "country" trying to take advantage of.... I'm sure we all have stories that we saw.

Totally agree with you there. I was so impressed I made a point to tell one in particular as I saw many times, politely tell those with blue bands that they did not belong in our space. I thanked her several times and then again as we were leaving on Sunday. I think this year the crowd control was great! Had a great time too! Hope I can afford to go next year.....

This thread should be renamed "Positive thread for VIP SC09" because many of the people in GA did not have such a positive experience.

I had a great time....!! a few issues..but still had a great time.
It was so fun meeting up with those I hadn't met before. Love the group pic...will post later. So many people commented on our shirts! yay.. !!
Tent campers...thank you for making the trek over to the RV area.. it was a hike, but had so much fun making the rounds with you on Friday night. So many of you, so much fun.

It was so hard to answer all the calls.. I'm sorry I couldn't answer all the time. between the lines to get in, juggling our stuff, and the music, I missed lots of calls..texting worked better, but with thousands of people, very hard to try and meet up with everyone..
Rose and Yvonne.. now I wonder.. was that MY table you were dancing on?? I saw your note on my sign..!!! loved it... sorry I missed you on Sunday..
At a festival like this we do the best we can to meet up with everyone.. doesn't always work out the way we plan...that's why we plan "meet and greets" through out the year.

Positives:

My daughter and I are checking out the kid section and we come across the petting zoo. I decide to mess with her and ask if she wants to pet the piggies. She looks at me and says "There's a chicken in there." Totally straight faced I said "Yeah, but you know you want to pet the baby goats." and she deadpans "Chickens peck." I about died.

We walk a little way from the tent and she says she wants to touch the giant chicken. So we go back and she walks up real slow, barely touches it and jumps back. I'm like "Uh, Little Bit, it's not alive...". She smacked me.

We're standing off to the side by the restrooms so I can have a cigarette and she asked me "Which guy do you see should be dressed the way he is?" I point to a particularly fine specimen in boots, jeans, hat and no shirt. (Nice!) She then asked "Which guy do you see shouldn't be dressed the way he is? I'm looking around, not seeing any really bad fashion choices in that immediate area (there were a lot of them, just not right there, right then) when all of a sudden this guy walks by wearing knee-high tube socks, big blue and green plaid shorts and a black and white horizontally stripped shirt. I said "That one."

We come out of the restrooms and she goes to hand me my water bottle. I said "Hold on a sec, my hands are still soapy." She said "Where did you get soap?" I asked "Haven't you noticed the dispenser in the port-a-potties?" She said, "No wonder I keep seeing people rubbing their hands when they come out. I wondered what they were all doing." I died.

We're driving up from San Diego and she, being silly, burst out with "Expwee, expwee!" She then asked me what it was. I said "That depends on what you're talking about." She pointed to a freeway sign that said - Exspwy. An abbreviation for expressway. After I stopped laughing enough to be able to breathe again I explained it to her. We spent the whole weekend cracking each other up with that one.

She beat KittyLeigh in ladder ball twice. The look on her face when she came to tell me she won was priceless. She's still glowing about that. Sorry Kat...:)

She made me be her partner to demonstrate the dance that Chevgirl taught her for Grandpa. She's pretty stoked about that. Thanks Karena.:)

The way I felt watching her walk around the whole group on Friday afternoon, breaking off chunks of blueberry bread and handing them out. She said "They need to eat cause they've been drinking." My Little Bit, being a mini mama to all our camping family.....;)

Every part of Sunday night after the show. I have never laughed so hard in my life.

Well be prepared to laugh again. I thought the cap in the dispenser was sanitizer. Although I only used it once, because, like Little Bit, didn't realize there was anything in them. The one time I used it, I thought to myself it felt like soap. OMG, maybe that's why my drink was tasting like soap at times. I must've touched the rim! Yes, I am just now realizing this.

If I'm not mistaken...deegee took a picture of that guy INCLUDING his belt buckle.

Later on I will post some of the belt buckle pictures I took this weekend.

Yeah, guess who else thought it was sanitizer and then ate right after "sanitizing" my hands. Yum!

She's still talking about you saying "Someone hit the light switch for the sun". She loved that line.

I'm not sure I described his clothes exactely right and I did see the buckle just too far away to make it out. He was scary!

Woooooow. I did read that in one of LittleBit's first posts... I don't even remember saying that! Just like I didn't remember trying the "Mike's Harder Lemonade" that IHML had...

Was that when you guys had bought the umbrellas Sunday? Or was it Friday? Because there are times during both those days that are fuzzy :)

Hey, at least someone thinks I'm funny! haha
