More screens for the pions in the back......stage must be 1/2 mile or more away.

Less aggressive searchers at the admission gate.

More security inside the venue.

No more Kid Rock type artists....keep it country and family oriented.

Great job, overall!!!!

maybe goldenvoice should have a seperate roots and bluegrass festival and stop billing pop acts as country....

maybe people should walk to the other stages if they don't like who is performing on the mane stage. there are options, not gv's fault if people are lazy.

nope. you're right. It's gv's fault if they book sh*tty shows that no one who pays good money wants to watch.

And as to the side stages, might have had 3 good acts on all weekend. Waste.

I agree with Peep50 about Kid Rock. I had my children with me, and I could have done without the profanity from the stage.:( I loved everyone else.:)

I thought the $10.00 water program was great this year. But I wish they had more refill stations available. The refill lines were long on Sunday.

The Porta Potties needed to be cleaned and TP refilled more often.

This is my theory on Stagecoach - it was hot, windy, crowded, crazy, tiring, but despite it all, IT WAS A BLAST! And I would do it all over again in a heartbeat! :D

Even though we had a couple of bad experiences on Sunday, we will be back next year. Go Country!

I'd like to add....

- more coverage with beer booths and closer to mane stage

- better queuing at restrooms. talk about a nightmare!

- more water filling stations

- forum camping area closer to venue like previous years. Campers already have to rough it for the weekend, at least save them the 2 mile walk!

- larger tent camping spots - even 10x10. I know you'd have to sell less tickets to do it, but that might not be a bad idea based on the turnout for this year. Happier campers are going to bring more people and would even be willing to pay a little more.

- maintain blanket areas vs chair areas. Blanket areas in front of stage followed by chair areas behind worked great on saturday, what happened on sunday?

-don't conflict the decent acts on side stages with mane stage. If you're gonna shove charlie daniels, ricky skaggs, rev. horton, and Pure Prairie League acts to the side, put them in between gaps on the mane stage - some of us want to hear it all!

- and for my own personal preference - how about coors instead of bud? ;)

Exactly.....
Even the press can't get over there fast enough that is a problem.....
Crowd contol and closeness then loosing your area by some drunk passed out in your chair (or spot) you came in early to get to leave the mane area...Insane and just not well thought out...

They also need a VIP area in the other stages and sooooo much more....
Comeon guys third year now.You did get handicap finally down yet they need some shade for those peeps...

The wrist band distribution on the first day was delayed for those with Reserved Seating. It took an hour to get to our seats. At Noon, we entered to find EMPTY wristband booths in the "Lobby" as well as next to the main Beer Garden. WTF? Security at the Beer Garden had NO CLUE as to when the wrist band booths would be staffed. We waited in line in the sun for a good solid 20 minutes before anybody came to the booths. Three staffers showed up, explained to us that they had NO wristbands with them, and that someone would be coming with them "momentarily." Another 20 minutes went by before anyone showed up with the wrist bands. That woman was apparently in charge, but she only had a manila envelope with SOME wristbands. As we waited another 5 minutes, she began to TRAIN the three staffers, right in front of us!!! Incredible. Incredibly BAD. We paid a ton of dough for the Reserved Seating. The least they can do is spare us another 45 minutes waiting in line in the sun to get our wristbands. It was ridiculous. I just know they can do better than that.

waiting an hour after the gates opened to obtain my VIP seat wristband was horrible. That's the time I was planning on using to also purchase a t-shirt. I don't mind waiting in line but that was a line that had an empty booth and then when someone finally showed up they didn't have the wrist bands yet.

Personally, I'd like to see any of these artists:
Phil Vassar
Alan Jackson
Jo Dee Messina
Jason Aldean
Gary Allan
Deana Carter

And I would LOVE to see Little Big Town return. I"ve been a fan of theirs since Boondocks was released in 2004 and bought the album. The entire album is solid...I especially like "Wounded" and "Welcome to the Family". They're great!

People who payed for Vip/Reserved seats NEED TO HAVE a reserved/vip area on the two smaller stages. other than that It was a great year... the line up wasn't as good as last year... charlie daniels should have been main stage... but i had an amazing time...

I would LOVE to see Toby Keith. Leave the section for blankets only and keep it blankets only. More water filling up stations. More walkways, so hard to get around inbetween sets. More time to see the smaller stages! But it was so amazing still! Absolutely an epic weekend!

How about more merch booths? Maybe a small merch booth by each small stage where the artist performing could be featured. They could go out and do meet and greets after their sets and sell cds and t-shirts. Only saw one performer come out after his set, James Intveldt (sp) and he took photos, talked to the fans and signed autographs well into the Duhks set. I know the Duhks like hanging out after their shows...

As far as beer...c'mon Michelob Amber Bock is not a "craft" beer. Letsa get some of the great Califonia Microbrews in there..Firestone, Stone, Karl Strauss just to name a few.

Ok. Sorry reserved seaters, but I have to say that I liked the fact that we GA folks could get close enough to the small stages to see the bands playing over there. You got premium seats for the big names (Reba, Brad and Kenny). Heck, with my 9X optical zoom on my digital, I got pictures of blurry ants most of the time.

I'm really not complaining, though. I could have bought those seats, but as I found out last year, it's wwwwaaaaayyyyy more fun to mingle with the crowd and meet new people. My girlfriend and I met quite a few folks and are already making plans to meet up next year.

I think they should only allow blankets in the GA area and not chairs. Then maybe people would get up and dance. The chairs take up a lot of space and I would see tons of people that had chairs set up and blanket too taking up more space that they weren't using. Also more walk ways. I was sitting on a blanket near the corner of the walkway and it got scary in between acts with the amount of people walking and trying to cut though "your area" to avoid the crowd. I got stepped on 10 times and had my food and drinks knocked over about the same number of times. I felt like I was going to get trampled at some points.

Here's what I have to say....

Less agressive Forum security.

Closer walking distance. (coming from Forum felt like forever, plus I did that trek two times each day!)

More merch tents. (agreed)

That's about it.. and for those of you complaining about Kid Rock, I think he put on a great show, and everyone around me seemed to enjoy it. If you can't hang, maybe you should stop coming...........

juuuuuusssst sayin'...... :p

My co-worker works with elite as a part time job. When I told her what went down she said they were violating elite's company policies. With the searching and the attitudes!

Keep it country, no more Kid Rock. There were to many kids to have someone saying the things he did on a microphone!
More water stations and drinking fountains.

I don't agree with not allowing chairs at all many people cannot physically handle sitting on just a blanket. But I think they should grid out the GA area and create rows, not just a free for all. Even better would be if they tuly made a grid and for every ticket you got a square. Unlike the people who were taking up huge areas for 2 people. I think if it were organized at least into rows, 1. A lot more people could fit in closer and 2. A lot less frustration with people getting stepped on. When the firelines got crowded I literally got knocked over backwards in my chair. Not fun. I ended up limping the rest of the weekend.

I think that the merachant tents need to be further along the permiter. The one to the right of the mane stage aka bootbarn was too close. Primo seating for GA. I understand its annoying to walk far, but it would have freed up a lot of GA space.

While Im sure there were some lovely security gaurds, a lot were out of line with how they were treating people. I get that they were dealing with drunks giving them crap, but at some points it was ridiculous.

ADA parking needs to either be closer or have a tram until after everyone has had a chance to get out after the last act.

I think it would be great if people like us (first timers/no friends to camp visit with.....YET:rolleyes:) were permitted to go out to our cars during the day, to chill (have some cocktails) or whatever.
I don't see why they couldn't just issue plain old GA wristbands along with other one that said you had your ticket scanned for the day, were there legit and just open one of the incoming lanes just for "returning". Granted most people would not use it, especially if they had to park in the North Forty like we did on Sat.But I for one could've used a short break on Sunday. (and my grumpy hubby couldve taken a nap!) THat would've been a really good thing!

sad that adults can't be responsible enough to handle this themselves, that they need someone to organize things for them.
