I had a great time this entire weekend. Some of my highlights were Darius Rucker, Little Big Town, Lady Antebellum, and Brad Paisley. I thought Kenny Chesney was the biggest disappointment of the weekend. Kid Rock was better than I thought he would be, he put on a really good show even if you're not a big fan of his music.
There were two bands I wanted to see and didn't get to, Reba and Kevin Costner, but Reba was at the same time as Charlie Daniels who I wasn't going to miss and Costner was on at the same time as Darius.
I really enjoyed the lady near me yesterday who went just to see Randy Houser, she was funny.
It was great meeting so many of you and I look forward to many more concerts to come now that I know some other people out here that enjoy country and I may not have to go to all the shows by myself.

Overall the Festival was awesome. I do think that security needs to be enforced inside the venue. On Sunday, during Kid Rock, I felt very uncomforable about my daughter and my safety. It seems like a different element came in for Kid Rock that did not respect one another as everyone did on Saturday. That's a sad commentary, I know!

First off, I guess I have to change my signature line ;) Not a virgin anymore!
The boy and I stayed in Palm Springs so we had a bit of a drive each day. The traffic and parking was a lot better than I expected it to be! Both days we arrived around 12:30 and had no problems getting parked, searched, banded (alcohol for me and after a "lost kid" fiasco on Saturday night, a "kid check" bracelet for the boy for Sunday!) and settled in.
Both days we managed to find pretty nice seats along the left fence line, and lucked out on being near a bunch of friendly types. I was surprised at how much space some "groups" mapped out with "caution" tape and blankets.
We had fun walking around but stuck mostly to the Mane Stage for the entertainment. My favorites were Zac Brown Band, Reba and Kid Rock. Darius Rucker was good, too. With the kid getting tired and grumpy, we left mid-set on Saturday night so I didn't get to hear a lot of Brad....grrr. I set him straight about Sunday - sit down and DEAL - Momma wants to see all these people! lol
Thanks to all the forum people - Saturday was an adventure of spotting people and making friends. I regret not camping because I really would have liked to visit and party more....
Overall, we had a blast!!!! And no sunburn!!!! Woohoo!!!

What was up with all the police tape this year? It should not be allowed next year.

Having brought children to a family festival I am very dissapointed in the security. Having been almost strip-searched to get inside, including having to take my chairs out of the bags and having been pat down, I feel that maybe the festival needed to have more patrols for the fire lanes....what fire lanes.....exactly. You couldn't even walk and these lanes were supposed to be open. There must be some improvement in this next year. The Festival is very lucky nothing bad happened to people being crushed this year!
Great show but the security sucked!!!!
