Can to arrive to the concert anytime? My friends and I are staying at house close by, and we may want to hang by the pool a little during the day and skip the opening bands.

You can come in whenever you want. But once you get in there are no ins and outs unless you are a camper or RVer.

And the later you get there the further back you will be. People get there when the gates open and stake out spots near the front and don't move all day. I'm one of them.
