I'm debating whether to wear flip flops or not...I know its a long walk from the parking lot to the gates but does anyone have suggestions on wearing flip flops into the venue?

I had the same debate. I think I'm going with the flip flops though, it'll be too hot & uncomfortable in shoes.

Yep, I'm bringing a really light weight backpackish bag thing to carry a few necessities in. I mean, a mile and such isn't really THAT far of a walk if you think about it. It will probably just be the anticipation that makes it seem far.

maybe flip flops one day and sneakers the other day

shoot my feet are tough...i dont have to worry about blisters thanks to growing up playing outside barefoot...lol the most important decisions. i just have to remember to put sunblock on the feet because there's nothing worse than the tops of your feet being burnt!

Funny story... I wore flip flops last year and ended up just walking around with no shoes but eventually stepped on/in someones nachos, I had sour cream, nacho cheese, guacamole, the works squished between my toes. So i suggest you don't go shoeless.

I started last year with tennis shoes, bought crock flip flops there, they were great the whole weekend, well worth the big price tag that came with them.
Your going to walk a WHOLE lot more than one mile each day. Make sure whatever footwear you use that your used to walking far distances in them. SC is not the place to break in anything new. I have FINALLY learned my lesson.
07 - Sandles = blisters
08 - Flip Flops = bloody inbetween my toes

i say wear flip flops, but wear the right ones not the flip flops with rubber straps those WILL hurt your feet!

I wear flip flips, but J. Crew, so the straps are cloth both on top of my feet and in between my toes. Any type of rubber/plastic gets sticky and blister-y. I use cheap Old Navy ones for the shower, but fabric/cloth straps for walking in.

Just my opinion, but I suggest shoes/socks. Dry weather this weekend will brutalized ur feet, especially if you are on them and walking a lot. If you decide to wear flip flops, make sure to rehydrate ur feet that night so you can be ready for the next day.

I walked the 3-Day (60 miles in 3 days) last November and the best thing I can say is wear shoes that are comfy....this is no place to try out those cute sandals ;)
I'm a veteran flipflop wearer....but remember to elevate your feet at night if you've been standing/walking all day. And drink lots of water!

I live in flip flops! In fact, I did all ofmy hiking in Mammoth IN flip flops.. Devils Postpile, Rainbow Falls, etc. people thought I was nuts. I hate how feet swell in regular shoes then they make blisters... In flops I don't have that problem!

Last year, flops for three days was a little rough on the feet, but it should be no problem for two days this year. Especially since almost everyone I want to see is at Mane Stage this year.

Flip Flops all the way. Just make sure you wear some that have been broken in and you know won't hurt your feet.
