Dry Ice?

I read someone used dry ice in their coolers and now I can't find the post again...does anyone else use dry ice in their coolers? How much do you need? Smart & Final sells it by the pound, so how many pounds? I want to get a styrofoam cooler, and im not sure how big it is...probably normal size, like 20-25 quarts? Any tips?

ok i did this once going to the river and it didnt work so well if your beers/ water come in contact with the dry ice they will freeze fast. that even happends if you put water in the cooler it will still freeze everything just my expearance and i wont do it again. i lost to many good soldiers that day.
