I have never been to SC before and know little to nothing about country music, but my husband loves it. So being the wonderful wife that I am, I purchased tickets and a room for two nights at a resort in Palm Springs for his birthday.

Obviously, I want to take a bit of advantage to staying at the resort, (tanning and a massage) what time would be the best to get there?

I see that the gates open at noon, but what time to the shows really get going?

In other words, I do not want my husband to miss anything but, I really need a bit of poolside time!

If we got there at 4:00 Saturday and Sunday what would we miss?

Thanks,
Jen

Check back to the site on Tues or Wed and they'll release times and stages for each act. If you have General Admission tickets however, good luck sitting ANYWHERE near the front unless you line up to get in at noon. Gates open at noon and it's a stampede for people to put their chairs down and claim their space.

The first 2 SC's had 3 stages - The Main Stage and two smaller ones. It's the smaller one's that started first the last 2 years- with the Main stage starting a bit later in the afternoon.

The two smaller stages - one had shade in the form of a very large tent - the 2nd stage did not have shade.

Main stage - people start staking out beach towel/chair spots right when the gates open.

You have a few considerations to factor in.
Stagecoach is not just about the music. The Barbeque comp. is excellent, many of the vendors are unique.

When the music starts - Don't recall last years start time - I think about 90 min after gates open on the smaller stages.

How long it will take from Parking lot to entry.

READ THE RULES - what you can bring in - what you should leave in the hotel/car. There are lockers for rent - if you want to leave your evening (cool/cold) weather stuff inside. (also NO in and Outs) once you're in, you're in. Lockers can be prepaid.

You'll get plenty of sun time at Stagecoach - just not the pool (unless your in the campground and byo - which some people do!

Have a great time!
