questions on camping

if we have 3 camping passes can we bring in a 9 x 7 tent? Do you know if they will give us them all together or are they spread out? can we use a 9 x 7 or is a 8 x 8 it? And Can you bring in alcohol? And do you need to hide it?

if you have 3 passes you can use the larger tent. as long as you all arrive together, your spots will be next to eachother.

They want everyone to be there together to check in to get spots together. I don't think it really matters what time on Friday you get there. *shrug* I am going Friday morning. :)
They technically don't let you bring beer in, but the past two years they haven't said anything about it.
Showers aren't too bad. Just long lines in the morning.
I have NO idea about buying ice. We went to safeway to buy ice so we could also get coffee. :) lol

You get your spots together as long as you get there at the same time. :)
I don't remember how far it was to well I guess in SoCal there isn't Safeway, but whatever the grocery store is down there. Maybe Ralph's? lol *shrug* Either way I don't think it was toooooo far.

They haven't really in the past but they say it's 2am in all of the campgrounds except EDII which has no curfew:)

I'd recommend you read the "What to Bring" thread...there are pages and pages of useful tips on what to brings and things to expect. Regarding the food, I've heard the BBQ inside the festival is the best way to go. They do advise you to go early because it does tend to sell out fast. While camping, many people take their own food and snacks. I, personally, just drive off the campgrounds to buy food and bring it back to the tent. I've never had problems with traffic or anything. But there is also a thread called "best bang for your buck" that will give you tons and tons of info on food. Hope this helps!:)

Are you staying in the Forum/tent area? I've never had any proplems getting in and out of the campgounds. You will most likely lose your parking but there is a ton of parking so it's not a big deal. A lot of people bring stuff for sandwiches which is good but I usually don't leave enough room in the cooler for food..:). I haven't run in to anyone smoking pot or the smell of it but I wouldn't doubt it being around. Just come prepared for anything. I can guarantee you that it won't be all around you though. Just come ready to have fun.:)

Just walk in like you own the place..lol. I've never had anyone check my wristband or any items that i've taken in. That doesn't mean they won't check this year though so just try and keep in on the DL. Don't look like you're hiding something. Just act like you belong and know what you're doing.:)

Cool!:). It can be hard to find people and at times it can be hard to find your own tent..lol..no joke. I'm gonna be with a lot of the people who post on these boards. Just look for a big flag pole with a huge Miller Lite flag on it and I should be around there somewhere:). If I can't find you then you can try and find me:D...See you soon!:)

I don't lock anything up. just make friends with who ever is next to you and you can watch out for each other. I've never had anyone take anything from me or anyone who was around us the last two years. I wouldn't leave any expensive or priceless things in your tent when you're gone just in case. It can happen but it's not likely that someone will steal from you. We are good people who are just there to have a good time.:)

It's not my flag but I should be around that flag somewhere..lol. I'm not sure if it matters. I don't think so. They did sell out so I know it's gonna be crowded. I wouldn't get there too late that way you can get a good spot.

I bought a couple of luggage locks and I throw most stuff in the tent and lock it. The cooler was never messed with.

You will be better off making sure you fit in your spot. You don't want to find yourself in a bind. Pick up an inexpensive 5X6 tent at walmart and that way you have room for cooler, chair, etc.

we are in ed2 but as applied for everywhere, as long as your alcohol when arriving is put away...they will not say anything. if you have it out on display it might become an issue. Just remember red cups at alll times. Otherwise you should be in the clear=]
