Tony is our Guy at 29............. here is his message

BBQ Cooks
The salute at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center 29 Palms will be 16 May
2009. I talked with Kelley today and they are in need of people to help
cook Hamburgers and hot dogs for Our Marines and their families estimated to be
about 14,000 people this year. I know hamburgers and hot dogs is not one of
those items as BBQers we like to cook or deal with however with the present
budget this is the only economical meal they could come up with and it is a
great time to show our support for those who have done so much protecting our
freedom. If you can help please let me know ASAP.

Gretchen Wilson, will be the Country singer this year who will entertain. They
will be feeding from 4 to 9pm. If you need a room please let me know, these are
limited so I will need to know ASAP. If you have any questions please email me
.... tony_mcdowell4m@yahoo.com
Thanks in Advance
Tony McDowell

This looks like a really great event and nice to do for those serving our country. As of right this minute, my calendar is clear for this date and I would like to donate some time wherever needed. I will advise should a scheduling conflict come up.

An email is being sent to Tony McDowell re: above.

Thanks for posting up Thom!~

Thom - where are the "rooms" at? Are you staying over or driving home? I sent an email to Tony McD but no response as of yet!

I have a bit of experience with large grilling events and may be able to lend a hand. Sounds like a good cause and a good concert. Let me know what kind of help y'all need. If I can help, I will

My dad is a Marine and seeing support like this is refreshing. Supporting people who dedicate their lives to protecting yours is incredibly gracious.

OOOO RAH!
