Question about GA seating

I bought GA tickets for myself and family member several weeks ago, but this week I bought an additional GA ticket for a friend. Does this mean the three of us won't be able to sit with each other? I was under the impression that it was open seating (sort of like Coachella) until I noticed the chart.
