The tickets don't really have your name on them. Just the receipt.

Unless your name is:
Stagecoach Festival
Reserved Seating
Rain or Shine
:D:D:D:D:D:D

If your tickets are being held at "will call"...then you will have a problem

Please read post below that states you need ticket AND ID. Sorry for the error in information

All of us in VIP are going to have to get our tickets at will call as far as I understand.

That is why I have the question...if all wristbands are at will call will that require an ID? The tickets I have.

The thing is to have the credit card it was bought with, not the ID itself.

I copied and pasted this from the ticket page...it DOES say that we need ticket AND ID That's going to mess up tons of folks who re-sell tickets. I will edit my previous post. SORRY

All VIP/RESERVED seat wristbands will be distributed at the festival via multiple Wristband/Ticket Exchange Stations in onsite camping, the Main Lobby area adjacent to the Merchandise Booth, and just outside the reserved seating area. ID & tickets for both days of the festival required to pick up your wristband. Void if wristband is removed, No Exceptions. Only children 2+ and under may sit on laps in this section. Seats may not be taken to the other stages although you are welcome to wander from stage to stage and all over the festival. Take home your souvenir seat Sunday night AFTER THE CLOSING ACT ONLY. The VIP area is located to the left of the Mane Stage and consists of shaded area's, couches, extra restrooms, food & beverage vendors, and a full bar.

That is my main issue. If I am not going do to family emergency, do I have to give my credit card out. That just doesn't make sense that they would do this. What if you purchased it as a gift or for your kids. I don't think anyone would give there credit card to them. Is there someway to get in touch with an organizer to get this question answered? Any thoughts?

Do you think when they say ticket and ID it means just the ticket and the ID of the individiual picking up not the individual that ordered? Now that would make more sense.

I've sent plenty of emails to the SC staff asking different questions and they respond fairly quickly. The email address is info@stagecoachfestival.com. They should be able to answer any and all questions that are unanswered here. Hope this helps.

Well I am not sure who to ask about this, but I was concerned too because my photo ID is in my married name and my tickets were bought with my credit card in my maiden name! I heard from another poster that all they wanted to see was whatever credit card the tix were bought with. I wasn't going to worry too much about it. I was going to show up with both at the exchange stations and just let them sort it out like they always do when I go to the airport. let me know whatever you find out. thanks luvcountry9 -- sorry about you not being able to go, and then having to deal with this ticket issue on top of it totally blows.

Thank you Temo223 I have sent an email. I will post what I find out for you deegee83.

Really appreciate everyone's quick response.

I have already had a response. They stated I should give a copy of my ID (License) and a note that I authorize this just to be on the safe side. That way they can confirm signature if they need to.

So for everyone who is selling there tickets, I am not sure what to advise you, especially if you are not comfortable giving out your ID. Cannot confirm if they will be checking everyone.

This is going to be tough for a lot of people who purchase after market tickets. So many things can happen between November (purchase) and April (go).

At least you will have your seat no matter what because you have your ticket to show. The question would be getting into the VIP area.

Rose, Per there reply the note and copy of ID with ticket will get them the wristband. So if individuals are uncomfortable giving out a copy of there ID then yes I do agree with you it may make it difficult to get the wristband if they do check. Which means they may be stuck in GA even if they did pay more. Could be potential mess.

Why Are They Doing It Like That This Year??? I See A Lot Of Potential Problems :(

just contacted goldenvoice and they replied in 5 minutes. If you have purchased reserved tickets from someone other than ticketmaster. You must have a copy of their ID and a note stating you can have their tickets. Didn't do this last year...... and I hope all who already purchased are aware. Actually never had an id checked at any concert while exchanging ticket for wristband....if tickets are duplicated the first barcode scanned will get in....any same barcode after that will get flagged...if tickets were stolen the owners could contact GV.....i do not get it !
.cannot understand why they are doing this ??? I just started looking for reserved so THANKS for this message board.............ready to go and get my drink on..!!

OH wow. This is just the opposite of kc4avon's cluster fun....uh, guess what that would be??? Fill in the blank here: A Cluster F_____ at the exchange tables!

Anyhoo, thanx for the info luvcountry9 and 1socal1. Now that two of us have gotten the same answer that should settle it.

I sensed there was a concern over the resale of tickets.. I mentioned in another post the radio station KFOG is holding off on delivering tickets to limit-prevent the resale of tickets. There are going to be problems at the pick up window for the 2nd and 3rd generation buyers.

I'll stick with my GA. I can't see them too good, but I can still hear them just fine and no worries.

That is INSANE if they think that everyone is gonna have a copy of the original owners ID!! WTF!!

What if you win them? Do I get a copy of Shawn Pars ID??? Or Heathers?? Come on now!!!! That's just LAME!!! That's just all talk. Just like no liquor in the campgrounds. NO one would camp any more!!

This is what I was told... You just need your tickets and an ID to get the wrist band. Your name does NOT have to match the ticket or ETicket. This would be impossible to inforce. 1 person can buy 8 tickets. So an e ticket would have one persons name on all of those same tickets. I sell or give my tickets to some else does not matter. The tickets were paid for by me through ticket master. They won't turn people away from a PAID for VIP ticket.

EXACTLY!! If it was done that way, then there would be a limit of one per person! No way in hell could they possibly re-inforce this.

lets think outside of the box here, maybe they are doing this to stop fraudulent tickets, maybe they are just doing this for accountabilty. Keeping track of who picked up what wristband with so and so number on it with this ticket number. Just a thought...

I can see that could be a reason...but the thought of them being able to actually pull it off?? That is where I think we are saying it won't happen. How can they monitor that. {Probably 1 out of every 8 tickets doesn't have the owners names assigned to that specific ticket. They would have to check 40,000 tickets each day to make sure you are the "purchasing owner" or have a paper id photo with you of your buddy, or craig's list seller etc.

I think it would be awesome if they could pull off some sort of accountability, but not possible. I for one will never send a photocopy of my id with anyone. No one needs to know my CDL #, addy etc...

I agree. It has to do with keeping the wristbands in check. NOT to keep out people who paid for a ticket. Either through ticket master or by buying off this board. Which THEY own. That has a thread for TICKETS FOR SALE!!!!!! No way can they not give a ticket holder his or her wristbands !! There would be a VIP mutiny !!! LOL

I think it will be a good way to keep others from sharing wrist bands with the new exchange ticket for a wristband after you enter....( at a designated area outside the VIP section and others outside the camping area.)
I'm sure placeing the bands on them self tight will help the sharing of bands and keep the area less packed...
Very smart.....

That is a good thing...
I bet you will get a new band each day this year..
I saw them today in the tack room and the workers say they will have all new band colors by the evnt so most will not know what colors are coming.

Kymery
04-13-2009, 05:28 PM
agree that it is smart to wait for the bands. The first year we got them right away. I was wondering how many would be duplicated.

Last year I had someone rip off my VIP wrist band...wont go into details, but I am pretty sure I figured out who and how. I got it back amazingly enough!

Rose

So the VIP area might actually be kept to VIP seat purchasers???

YIPPPPEEEEEEEE

Tropical-Cowgirl
04-13-2009, 06:36 PM
And I hope they don't make us EXCHANGE our tickets for a wrist band for 2 reasons....
1. I keep my tickets on a memory board.
2. It SHOWS your seat number!!! LOL
So exchange might not work!! LOL

Yeah..I agree (not that I have seats this year) but how the hell will they know your seat numbers? They are not on the wristbands!! They would have to let you keep your ticket.

Amen! The ratio of bodies in the VIP area, to actual VIP ticket holders, was exponentially disproportionate. Stupidly crowded in there.

They had some that would get you from the beer garden back to VIP. Hard to find though in the dark,...and the GA peeps would get pissed while you were walking and then standing to show your ticket to get back into VIP.
