View Full Version : Has Anyone Called To Ask About Tent Tickets?

sweetsummertime

I'm just curious to see if anyone even called to ask about tent tickets, because it just seems crazy that they are selling all of these tickets to Stagecoach but they are sold out of most RV and Tent spots. I can't find the number on here, anyone actually get the confirmation that they are totally SOLD OUT completely?
Errr....

Thanks ya'll

I sent them a bunch of emails asking about Forum Tent passes and they are all SOLD OUT! I asked every question in the book regarding this and the only way to get a ticket for the forum is to purchase it from someone who already has one and can't go or has extra. That is exactly what I did. I ended up buying my forum passes and tickets for the actual festival on Ebay. I believe I saw one other ticket bundle on Ebay that was going for $375 and it ends in a few hours. Good luck...Hope to see you there.:D

$375 is ridiculous! oh well. I checked it out and there's one person selling tickets+passes, sooo hopefully they will just sell me the passes. Thanks for your imput!

the fields are not infinite.. of course they can sell out. this event is in it's third year and is more popular.. growing more popular each year.

There are RV spots in the international lot still available.

$375 is actually less than what you would be paying for the tickets on ticketmaster because of the additional fees they charge. It actually comes out to well over $400 for the whole bundle so $375 is pretty damn good...it also includes free shipping!...Best of luck. If I see anything regarding forum passes alone, I'll let you know.

Of course the fields aren't infinite, I'm just saying that they have got to stop selling actual tickets to Stagecoach without telling people that most of the camping is sold out. (The site only says that El Dorado 2 is sold out)

I spent hundreds on the concert, (Like us all), and it just seems crazy that RV camping is that expensive. I only need two tent passes, which would be $50 each plus fees. Ya know what I mean?
thanks for the info!

because people can't stay in a hotel? or camp offsite? stay in an offsite rv resort? drive home after the concert? you are ridiculous.

Cooter does have a point. Last year 120,000 people attended the 3 day festival. We were all talking a few nights ago that hotels in the neighborhood have been booked/sold out for many many months now (even at triple the regular prices). Many people book their rooms as they are checking out for the following year. Waiting until 3 weeks before a festival to secure your lodging???

tgcali

What cracks me up is the assertion that they would only sell as many admission tickets as they have camping spaces.

The guy screwed up. Can we take it easy on him instead of flaming him?

That's one of the things I like about SCMB is that there's not much flaming here, unlike so many other cesspools on the interwebs.

120,000 is kinda deceptive since most people attended all 3 days which would make it 40,000 actual people.

Jesus people I was asking a freaking question, you don't have to be assholes about it. I've been to coachella multiple times and the experience of CAMPING onSITE is so much better than a hotel or having to drive to and from the polo fields. whats your problem cooter?

my fiance bought me the tickets when he proposed to me, he wasn't aware of the camping/hotel situation. thanks for understanding my predicament. I thought that people were sopposed to answer questions, not badger the person asking them. wow.

Just My Opinion....I Think The Tent Forum Sold Out This Year Due To The Huge Increase In RV Space Rental For The Weekend. I Know Quite A Few People Who, In The Past, Stayed In Their RV But Because Of The Price Increase This Year Had To Settle For The Cheaper Tent Camping :(

$99 weekend passes was a big factor, too.

I don't agree fully! I talk to sooooo many people about the RV cost situation. Yes, this board may be only 350 or so "active members" but you go with statistics no matter how many on the board vs. people going.

Their is a huge upset about the prices. Yes, they did sell out, but I think the RV is the main factor...not the ticket price. $50 or so diff for a ticket for a whole weekend is nothing compared to a $500 diff in rv parking!!

If any of you actually READ what I had said originally (Cooter), I said that they should let people KNOW that the camping was sold out before buying tickets. Not that they should stop selling the tickets entirely. I didn't know that my "stupidity" would rev people engine's so much.

I got a reservation in a hotel anyway (sucks, but what are you gonna do)
so feel free to delete this thread...IM GOIN TO STAGECOACH! yeehaw

Hey, I understand your frustration. But the people camping is really only a small fraction of the people who actually go over the weekend....

They won't shoot themselves in the foot on ticket sales to announce camping is sold out..that would be to dumb of them...albeit it that it would be a nice gesture!!??

There are plenty of people selling their passes. So you can always buy from them?

Anyway..glad you are going (and whoo hoo to you for defending your stmt!)

Hey...thanks!! I know you must be pissed...thinking you could just buy our tickets..then go get your camping tickets. I feel for you! Luckily I bought mine the day they went on sale...and having gone two past years...I know how it is more or less.

Keep your chin up and look at the fun you will have. You can always buy some RV people passes and come hang out and party in the RV area for a while!!

Oh sweetsummertime... I hear ya. These people are being ridiculous. I had the exact same question and was totally confused as well. And people, she wasn't saying stagecoach should STOP selling tickets all together but that they should warn you about most of the onsite camping no longer being available BEFORE you buy a $100+ ticket...and I couldn't agree more. Hope we are lucky enough to be with fun people in our campground and not you anal lame-o's responding so meanly to poor sweetsummertime....I am not going on here anymore, because you are ruining my excitement for this awesome concert, by being so incredibly anal and ridiculous.

See Cooter...for someone who is "friends" (for lack of proper and better words) with GV people...why do you scare them away? I can't believe they don't monitor you more or at least ask you to be more cordial!

Don't let jerks scare you away! 99% of us are actually nice. I have been thru this before with some rude people on here, and it is sad that people dont post for fear of being attacked...and it should not be that way! I monitor the WWF boards...and if anyone attacked anyone like he does, in the masses that he does....he would be gone in our books.

What's a bummer is that Cooter can actually be a nice guy sometimes!!

Ive tried getting a number, but I finally got ahold of someone from GoldenVoice (people in charge of putting Stagecoach on) anyways she said that they were all sold out and was sorry. If we all start contacting them/petitioning maybe they will add more....? I contacted Brianne with goldenvoice by her email: Brianne@goldenvoice.com. Maybe keep trying on contacting them about adding more tickets.

I thought that maybe they would sell more eventually (they do that for coachella), but I doubt it at SC because they need all the room they can get for RV's. I just got a hotel with a huge group of people, I would think about doing the same ashtynnem, good investigating though!
