Who would somebody contact regarding whether the documentation they have is ADA parking (let me clarify parking as in parking in the El Dorado I "ADA"area) sufficient?
It is somebody with both a Federal "Golden Access" card, and the SPDDP (State Park Disabled Discount Pass) card ...
Thanks in advance. I tried looking on the site and it gave some info. but really isn't clear......
This is what the site gives for contact info.

So what would you conclude his contact info. being? ADA@stagecoachfestival.com ?? Is there a phone #?
ADA or handicapped parking would require a blue (hanging) placcard. If you are perminately disabled then you are also issued one vehicle license plate that is not removable and maybe registered on your RV. Most states issue plates with a person in a wheelchair symbol. If you are a disabled veteran then your issued license plate starts with DV and you are exempt from paying license fees (on that vehicle only).
There is a major fine for using someone else's placcard or plate.
Plus you should be ashamed of yourself. If your lucky enough to walk then you should.

James is the contact at Goldenvoice and very nice....
Rose I did not see anything saying they were using someone elses card.
My dad is handicapped and he does not have plates nor does someone who does not drive a car and needs transportation...
Lets be nice now....

UHM EXCUSE ME? REALLY NOW? You have no idea who I am going with or what their limitations are or are not... I was only asking a valid question because I DO have a state issued "disabled person's" card which is different than a BLUE "hanging license" card and is treated the same.
READ WHAT I POSTED ABOVE. STATE PARK DISABLED DISCOUNT PASS. That should account for something.. that OBVIOUSLY states there is something "wrong"..... While somebody may not be physically "handicapped" there are MANY other forms of being "handicapped". I would NEVER "work the system" in an unlawful way. Bottomline he has some issues where places like Disneyland, etc. the "front of the line" pass is great.... Kids with autistic tendencies don't have the patience, seizures (the need to have quicker access to the RV) etc. Now I am not going to go on and on and explain. I was hoping for an easy answer hence the reason I posted exactly what cards I have in my possession. Both of which require a Doctor licensed to practice in the USA/State of CA to declare/sign...
I have a special needs little brother that is coming with me.
The question you asked had to do with ADA parking/vehicles NOT people.

Jenn..I understood what you are saying. Hopefully you get an answer. I have an ADA card, infact my new one just came in the mail. I have been given looks on many occasions when I get out of my truck parked in an ADA spot. Not all disabilities are visible people!! Don't assume.
I just learned something new from you too. I didnt know they had Federal Golden Access cards etc.!!
I remember you were bringing your brother...he is gonna love it! Hope to meet him there.

YEP! You're very right re: not all disabilities are "visible" ..
The State Park card is nice because a day at the beach is half price, camping at a State Park is half price.... Remember though having a disability isn't worth half price ANYTHING (disabilities are very costly), so like I said, we aren't trying to work the system, just wanted some things clarified.
The Fed Golden Access Card works WONDERS in Mammoth!~ You get to drive yourself up to Devil's Postpile Monument versus taking the tram!~ We usually still park at the same area the tram does and we do the hike!! Certain benefits like that are nice...
He is superrrrrrrrr stokeddddd! I was telling FF he doesn't know I ordered him a shirt, nor does he know we are camping THERE yet but he's going to be sooooooo EXCITED! His birthday is 4/20 and that's when he'll open the rest of his stuff (hopefully) the shirt, and the camping pass, etc!~

I'm NO n00b when it comes to forums/messageboards. Go on nearly any offroad forum and you'll see me there! I tend to stay out of the "slamming" business though ... really not my style!

I am waiting to see what the ADA guy from the SC festival says re: whether or not those documents are sufficient enough to be considered ADA. I sent him an email... I wish I woulda thought of this sooner/asked sooner. Either way, we will be very happy to be there and we have our camping pass, etc.

I have both those cards too, Nat Parks & State Parks. Those are not valid. The DMV placard is what is used to verify. Occasionally places ask for the paperwork that you're supposed to have with it. As long as the person the placard is issued to has the matching paperwork & ID & is present, boom, you're set.
I'm camping in ADA this yr, so if you get in, & are coming Thurs, let's try to time it to get close.
As for the rest of the posts, I don't walk well, although I'm getting around this past month w/out a cane --first time in 10 yrs I've been able to walk--so it's a huge deal to me. I am the one who will block your car in if you park in a handicapped site w/out a proper placard & I'll sit there until the police arrive. I was in a wheelchair for waaaaaaay too long & I don't give a hoot why anyone has a placard, none of my business, but if you take a parking spot ( block my fat a*s from getting one--hee hee) & don't have the paperwork to prove it, I want you fined to the max.
Other than that...sounds like alot of FUN FUN FUN people will be in the ADA area having a HUGE PARTY!!
2nd week no cane--yahoooooooo--well, okay, I did fall once, but I didn't get hurt!! I hate falling when I'm sober, not as funny.

shit, i'm 31 and have a placard...imagine the number of looks i get.
i am pretty considerate when it comes to using it, though. if there are only one or two spots left i will leave them open, even if i am having a hard time that day, because i know there are people that may need it more than me. but on my bad days i don't look back and take full advantage of the privileges i have "earned".

I also do that! I park in another spot unless I really have a bad day. I am very considerate to those more handicapped than me.
