Cell phone service?

Will our cell phones work out there? I saw someone mention walkie-talkies. We can bring those, too. Just trying to figure out other forms of communication.

Walkie Talkies are good, but if I remember correctly, my cell worked fine, just depends on your service provider

Ha Ha....yea mine worked. On Sunday I called the kids school to get them out of school on Monday, when a group of people walked past me sceaming and having a good time. I would've loved to see the look on the face of the person who got that message.....too funny :)

Sheesh, you guys are lucky you can get your kids out of school....

My son's school is starting their STAR testing on that Tuesday, so school is MANDATORY all week....I don't want to risk the wrath of our Principal for not having my kid there for their "prep" day.

I think we'll be making the drive back from Palm Springs EARLY on Monday.....

My cell worked, but my battery sucks. Don't remember when it was - but I took a nap in my car and charged my phone for a bit - hahaha. Never did make it to a charging station.

You should be honest and tell their schools that your children are getting a more well rounded edumacation going to Stagecoach.

My son used the charging station over by the Toyota Tundra stuff it was a big tent with a bunch of tv type screens playing what was on the stages it was nice and cool in there and quite a bit of sitting inside. You just went up to the counter and they would plug it in for you.

You will get cell service.....
We live close by and some of my daughters friends have drop service in my house so depending on the carrier there could be areas of no call zones.
With that said, the walkie talkies work best to find someone when the music is so loud you do not hear it ring and someone needs to know if ya need a beer from the line...:cool:

Mine is a T-Mobile pay-as-you-go. I don't have a problem with service at SC. My daughter's is a Virgin Mobile and she gets service as well.

i believe they bring in extra cell towers for the weekend to help with the increased demand.
