ok so let me start off by saying i dont ever get things free...ive never won a thing in my 25 years of living and i dont ever get lucky....well last night i got home from work and got a text from a friend who i will forever love tell me he had 2 tickets to "some country concert at the MGM" i immediately became hysterical because i knew the only country concert going on was the GEORGE STRAIT artist of the century tribute concert which i had been trying to win tickets for all week!!!! so with 30 min til showtime i needed to change, feed the dogs, drive and get my best friend who would have to find a baby sitter....we somehow got every single green light, no casualties and no tickets and made it with time to spare to buy a beer :) so it gets better....were up there in the back somewhere still super ecstatic that were even there and after seeing keith urban, taylor swift, sugarland, and tim and faith perform some security guy came up to us and asked if we wanted to sit on the floor....they grab us and another couple...lead us through the "back room" where tim and faith are on some red carpet getting there pictures taken...and tell us we are now seat fillers!! i didnt even know what the hell that meant (now i do) but i know that they sat me right behind montgomery gentry and i was shaking with nerves wishing i would have settled for the dress instead of the skirt...everything goes super fast and we got yelled at by some lady for walking slow....well faith hill saw that and she gave me a reassuring smile...it was so awesome...now i have never been one to be start struck...i hate that people idolize celebs but they were all so nice i about died. i wont ruin the show for everyone and say what everyone sang but itll be on CBS May 27th.....BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE and it was planned 30 min til showtime! just wanted to share that with everyone and seriously watch it...it was an amazing show!!

Congratulations VV!!!

This decade is still pretty young so in most of our eyes George Strait will be the artist of the decade!!! We just need to get him out here on the west coast more often performing.

I can't wait to see you on TV.

That really is awesome! Not star stuck either but it is fun to see favorites up close and in person. What row did they seat you in?

P.S. We'd all like a friend like that!

I was so excited watching this show! I loved Keiths Marty Robbins dedication! Man...do i love Mr. Robbins.

This show was perfect. Every performance was perfect..and YES I will say we were even impressed with Taylor, she did an amazing job. George was so humbled. He truly, truly deserved this.

so i think i saw the back of my head at a point! loved it on t.v! its funny how much stuff they edit out and change up....all the performances were out of order..it was pretty neat when i was watching it i could say "wait youll love this part" and "this is when blah blah screwed up!" to my friends who watched it with me...i had missed Jaimie Fox's performance because thats when we were being led to the front...he did great! totally relived the night! :)

VV - do you have blondish/brownish long wavy hair?

What a show last night. First class all the way. LOVE LOVE LOVED IT! John Rich showed just how much a fan he is and not above asking King George to autograph the guitar he played.

Our own Shawn Parr, once again being the announcer.

That's the girl I saw behind Montgomery Gentry. I didn't see her face, just her hair. Now if you sat behind Jennifer Nettles & Kristian Bush we could have spotted you at least 5 times last night.

I tried after the fifth date, but he was a gentleman!!!!
That got him major brownie points - and is why he got a 6th date, BTW....

oh yeah and do any of you have any suggestions for what I can do to see the show since I missed it? None of you have picked up on the fact that I seriously screwed up by not setting my dvr before I went to happy hour....

Check the network schedule for reruns. They usually show these kinds of events more than once.

Definite brownie points! Guys who take the initiative to tell YOU they want to take it slower get major points. Means they actually like YOU it's not gonna end up a one night stand.

It means he's just not that into you, or he's using you to get to one of your male friends, psycho perhaps?

That's freakin' awesome. So if he had hooked up with you there would not have been a sixth date. But since he didn't you're going to keep at it until he does. Now you're thinking like a guy.

oh yeah and do any of you have any suggestions for what I can do to see the show since I missed it? None of you have picked up on the fact that I seriously screwed up by not setting my dvr before I went to happy hour....
I still have it on my DVR. I can burn a DVD for you if you like.

Sometimes that backfires.

If you can't find it, I just put the one we recorded on our DVR on a tape for my mom - she tried taping it (old school style on a VCR) and it didn't work out. I'm sure she wouldn't mind me sending you the tape (if you have an old school VCR - ha) after she is done watching it?

This is very true too. You want a guy who can take control and who actually WANTS you. I was with one of those "let's wait 3 months before sex" guys, and turns out he never wanted it. Yeah, backfire.
