When I go to festivals, I like to check out the smaller acts when my favorites are taking breaks (Love you BP). So, for this year's SC I've been looking at some of their myspaces and am really excited to see the Knitters (I love Dave Alvin and Exine (sp?)), the infamous stringdusters, and I just noticed they added a Los Angeles group called Maxim Ludwig and the Santa Fe Seven. I just googled them and thought they were awesome. Like, watch out! I can't believe those boys are from LA! Anywho, What are y'all looking forward to seeing at the small stages?

Charlie Daniels!

Oh and I'm interested in Kevin Costner. Just simple curiosity.

Haha - I was hoping someone would say this so I wouldn't be the only one! Only because it's Kevin Costner do I want to just "check it out". Haha.

Exactly! It's these kinds of festivals that really showcase and spotlight the up and coming talents to start their fanbase. Give them such a huge audience and they're going to start going somewhere if they've got the talent.

A "smaller act" who you have not heard of but who's been around a long time, that you really should go see is Reverend Horton Heat. Don't miss it, trust me!!!

Dale Watson is the shit and so is the Reverend. The Knitters should be an ass kicking good time as well.

it's funny to think that CDB is now a small stage act. Funny how things change. Dale Watson sounds pretty cool too.

This is true, but he will be the headliner on the smaller stage.

I don't know anything for certain. It's just you can get a good idea by the way the line-up is listed. He'll either be before Little Big Town on the Mane Stage or the Headliner on a smaller stage.

The font size for them is the same so, considering who we're talking about, I'm thinking smaller stage headliner because I can't see them putting Charlie Daniels before such a new act like Little Big Town.

I could totally be wrong. I didn't mean to come across like I know absolutely what I'm talking about. It's just a hunch.

Oh, for the love of God, when are they going to let us know who is playing where and when!?! This is worse than waiting for Christmas when you're 8 years old!
