Camping lanterns

Are camping lanterns allowed in the Tent area?
What do we do for light?

Thanks for the info...one less thing to pack more room for important items. Still lots of new folks out here looking for good advice on having a good time in the tent camping area. Much appreciated!;)

could you sleep through the floodlights if you had to, or do they keep you up??

You need to spot where the lights are, place your tent so you're head is laying in toward them so they're not straight in your eyes and bring eye covers if light makes you unable to sleep. It's bright. Of course, depending on your condition, you might not notice them. My daughter and I both were more bothered by the light than the parties.

Think high school football stadium lights.....

The good news is they're not on all sides so it is possible for the placement of the tent to help. Best case scenario would be someone having a big tent between yours and the lights.
They were bright enough that we didn't need a light source in our campsite all weekend.

Well thanks to PBR Frank passed out in front of my tent, Hodgee telling me stories some nights, Marines on ATVs, and the flood lights, it's a wonder I slept at all! Thank god for beer!

Ah. like what? did you ever find out?? someone die? alcohol poisoning? someone rapped? someone stabbed? should i be worried about drunk guys stumbling in my tent trying to kill me or what????

Not sure exactly but we heard it involved a girl and one of the security guys....you can guess from there. But we'll be rowdy enough to keep them away. =)

That's right IHML, they were partying together, he left, she went to sleep, he came back.....we all know what follows. In spite of that, I had no concerns for our safety then and am not worried this time around either.

Yea, I think we're packing our little lanterns again this year just in case - but I don't think we even turned them on last year!
