View Full Version : Would you like to be a BBQ Judge at Stagecoach?
We will have Three Championship Contests at SC09
Saturday features two at the same time
Needless to say that is a bunch of Judges needed
This year we will be actively recruiting BBQ Judges on site
for the IBCA Ribs (1240 turn in) and IBCA Beef Brisket (140 turn in) Categories
The Judges training is done just before you get the samples
It is assumed you know what you like and don't like :)
Sunday we will have the Peoples Choice Contest
where every one who buys the BBQ samples from
11am to 2pm will get three votes in the
1 Peoples Choice Best BBQ
2 Best Booth Decor Contest
3 Best BBQ Team Show (which team was the most fun)

I just don't know if I can commit to staying sober at S/C =-?

I am interested, but how much of a time commitment is this? I don't want to waste half a day of music stuffing my face with BBQ.
If there is a special award for spiciest BBQ I wold like to judge that. Although I may end up spending the other half of the day in an outhouse if I do that...

The Texas Style IBCA contest is Judged by the public
I have the first round of Judges covered

We did the Golden State Championship at Hesperia this past weekend
29 teams Man the wind can blow in the High Desert
But Saturday was very nice
Stagecoach will be 54 teams thats why we need so many BBQ Judges
We will be looking for Rib (12:40) and Brisket (1:40) Judges Saturday

If you are looking for a early Saturday activity come to the BBQ area
I will be seating Judges from the crowd
Love to have forum regulars in the judges tent
We will start before they gates open with chicken
You could do Ribs at Noon or Beef Brisket at 1 pm

If you are wanting to taste some incredible BBQ, don't miss this opportunity. This is seriously the BEST job at these cook-offs.
Hope to see lots of you out there, make sure to stop by the AZBarbeque booth again this year and say, "Hello". Let us know you saw us on the Stagecoach Board.

I am very excited for the BBQ judging!~ I am soo excited for Stagecoach in general and this really is the icing on the cake!~
