Besides having great food and a friendly Staff the Millcreek in Corona (Which I have already mention a couple of time because I love that place) has a tequila that I've only seen there.
It's called Ambroso (?) and it comes in silver and rose. Very very good tequila.
The bottle is a little different, you'll have to check it out and see what I mean.
If you like Patron, and I do, I think this might convert you.
Looks like I need to try the Rose ;)

Is this the bottle that is shaped uhummm.....like a "man part"? Why...YES it is!! ahahaha...very interesting bottle to say the least...so you liked it? AWESOME I have always wanted to try it. I first saw it while at a Mexican Restaurant at City Walk...friggen bucks for shot! What did you pay, may I ask? Did you try the Silver sippin? Or shoot it?

I had been drinking Jim Beam Black label before dinner (at the Millcreek), and a couple of beer s with dinner. But while standing at the bar I noticed the bottle and pointed it out to my girlfriend. The bartender started telling all about this tequila (he had gone to some Alcohol Seminar) and was raving about it.
So naturely I had to try it. So after dinner, when my pallet was clensed, I had a shot of the Silver, (I am a shot sipper) they keep mini bottles in the freezer so they are chilled, and I loved it. He said it was about the same price as Patron I don't know cause I paid the whole bill, bar and dinner, together. They let you keep the little bottle but they were out of the tops for them so it got lost in translation when I tried to show it to my Sister.

Funny, I saw those bottles at a local Mex restaurant last wk! I was teasing my 17 yr son about the bottles! Ya know, mean mom, tormenting the teen. Now I know what they are! Okay, I'll go to Holiday Wine Cellar & price them. I just tried Patron at NASCAR last month. Haven't sipped tequila in a zillion yrs. I quit drinkin' Tokillya when I was 14--same time I started drinkin' it! Evvvvvvvverybody has a "never again" tequila story. I would puke just smelling it for at least 10 yrs! ughhhhhhhh, but man, Patron, smooooooooth stuff.

I honestly thought he said it was comparable to Patron in price, I know it tasted good and was very smooth.. I wonder how much they are at Bev-Mo

Yeah I gotta admit I'll use the other stuff in mixxed drinks.
I like to enjoy the straight stuff.
There is another that is comparable to Patron, I don't know how to spell it but it translates to "Seven Leagues" in English. It's good also, and supposed to be made by someone who was with Patron at one time.
Hankdog, what's up buddy haven't seen you for a little bit.

Work has been keeping me busy so I haven't had the time to screw around like I usually do. Yes that's the stuff ,Cusano Rojo, with the little worm at the bottom. I haven't had that stuff since college and I thought it tasted like it had been filtered through an ashtray. Or maybe that was from eating the worm. I enjoy Patron or Cazadero.

I'm not all that good with Tequila (unless it's in a margarita) - but my dad likes trying new ones. Hey Festy, I went to Holiday Wine Cellar in Escondido today to check out prices. They have a Tommy Gun-old time machine gun, think it's Red, full of Ta-kill-ya, bottle was about 3 ft tall! Under $60. Also the medium "phallic bottle" Silver for $28. I would've bought the rose at that price. Instead I just bought flavored rums & vodkas for sipping. Noticed the bottle my bud at NASCAR was sharing w/me was over $100!
Hopefully I'll some stuff left. We have a major family drinking reunion--the Irish side--the wkend before SC.

YES< you'll know my RV by all the Cappy signs, pirate flag about drinking rum & other things "drunk". Also JD stuff evvvverywhere! NASCAR driver was sponsored by JD, when they signed the new guy--Casey--I got all the old JD banners, & boxes of stuff. But Cappy is my bud. I always have a fresh pinapple full of Cappy that I scrape, eat & drink.
Hubby is the bourbon man, so since I like to drink w/him, I've been known to drink it. Last family party a youngster was drinking all my folks JB, so I had to turn the bottle up & down it to keep the kid from drinking anymore--I like to help where I can.
I don't know the diff between whiskey or bourbon, except that there are bourbons that I can smell & don't like.
but YES, bring some Cappy along & let's sip away...here's my daily festival drinking schedule--use caution
Coffee & Kaulua & Bailey's
Champagne
Pinapple & Cappy
Beer
Cappy
Jello shots
Cappy
sippers--flavored vodka's, rums, schnapps, "whacha gots?"
