My friend, who is handicapped, decided not to go. I'll still try to go if an Eldorado 2 space becomes available.

Hey Roger, please give me some info. I camped in ED2 last yr, don't need the hookups, so I went w/the cheaper site. What hook ups does this have & what's the price? Also, tell me about the wristbands, how many come w/it? I bought everything seperate last yr, so I don't know the pricing. THANKS, yes, I'm handicapped, perm plates on RV. thanks KC

Hi KC,
The ticket price is $250.00, but with NO hookups. I have the ticket but they did not send any camping passes with it. It is supposed to have up to 6 passes included. I'm thinking that they will issue the passes at the gate, when they know how many people are in your party. Roger

Wow, I thought Disabled sites had hookups-which made them pricier. That changes things for me. I admit I don't understand the wristbands. I've read sites come w/6 & you dole them out to your people when they arrive-which sounds interesting. I bought my site & wristbands off this site last yr, so I really don't understand how this works. I just know I don't want to spend $250 for a site. I thought I overpaid last yr when I got an ED2 for $80. I paid $50 per wristband, which looks like the regular price. I have wkend passes for the festival, so I need a spot, but at the moment it's just me, so I'll have to hold out until I understand what I'd do w/6 wristbands & how I'd recoup my money. THANKS for the info, I'm sure you'll sell the site, wish it could be me.

Yep...it was cheaper last year if there were only 1-3 people, but this year it is a package deal.
ADA is the same price as EDII for $250, legally they have to offer the EDI spots for the same price as EDII with NO hook ups...makes sense, they DO have EDI ADA with hook ups for the $750.

Last year you bought PER person passes at $50 and they mailed them to you, this year you get in your "package" 6-8 passes that will be handed out to you up on arrival with your camping ticket as proof you bought them. I am sure you dont have to worry about receiving your wristbands upon arrival...they dont need a riot there if they change the rules at the gate.

I been trying to get placard parking, no luck. Rogerdale, I sent you a PM . . .

*EDIT*
Rogerdale was courteous enough to take the time to call me personally, to inform me that his tickets (due to a change in plans) would no longer be available.

I really respect that.

why can't you get one? are they sold out? The form is a bit confusing...you have to click on the aDA camping link, then fill out the info and send it..then ticketmaster will EMAIL YOU BACK or CALL you to purchase it. You cant just directly buy thru TM...it is a process. Give them a few hours to contact you back.

But someone on here was selling one they already had...did you contact them? And do you have a ADA Placard?

Thanks, everyone. R.

Cool!! Yes, I DID buy my ADA site on TM Thurs. Took over an hour & 3 CSReps to find someone who knew what I wanted. They kept reading sites off, then saying they were sold out, finally got someone to look for ADA sites, took him another 1/2 hr & supervisor to finally sell me a site. I don't see anything that says ADA on my ticket, not sure what all the letters mean, but I can't deciper anything that looks diff than a regular ED1 ticket. Do you see anything on your ticket?
I never take pics--no proof--ha ha.
Fest, do let me know about the w-bands--thanks.
Anyone going to the KFROG giveaway today? Thinking about heading up there to take my chances. Want to show hubby some RV's in that area anyway. Gotta find him a dive bar or micro brewery to drop him off so I can go to the giveaway--gotta keep him happy too!

I have my ADA ticket, and I think the only thing that will prove it is ADA is that the cost on it is only $250 and it says EDI, cuz EDI is actually $750-$850, so that shows you have ADA at $250 in EDI.

I agree, them damn TM agents...what dorks...the day they went on sale they had NOOO effin idea what I wanted, tried to charge me $850 per spot! 5 Emails later, 4 agents later....ughhhh Luckily I was on the phone with the actual promotor for SC during all this and I was telling him my problem and he quickly got it handled for me and others that were having the same problems. Thank you Mr. Fold!!

But persistance pays off!! whooot!!

I think ADA is gonna be one hoppin spot! I gotta work on a flag, since I wont have MY rv, I will have my dads this year so different flag pole. BUT I will have my SC flag from last year!

Just wondering about the SC flags. I asked around when I got there last yr, trying to find one to buy. Was told they were given out on the first day. I got mine on Monday, as I was stumbling around trying to find my "friend" & my backpack chair. A worker was removing one & I asked & he gave it to me. That was sweet. I fly it at events & have had several people come chat w/me about it. So were they given out on day one? Also, since no Fri concerts, I see SC is opening 6pm Thurs. Guess I'll head over in the evening & get there in time to party w/y'all? I really don't want to do the line up thing, unless ya'll think we might as well stack in together. I am in high demand to park next to--my RV is only 24 ft & no slides, so when you park next to me, it's like having 2 sites cuz I'm so tiny! I can get there whenever, I have my home life covered so I can play--hee hee.
WORK? I can work from there!!

Kymery

Well, then you can park next to my 33' RV with pop outs!! I will need the space! I will be pulling in thurs eve also. I usually have a 37' Toy hauler with pop outs but the boys are taking that fishing in the Sierras for the opener..so thanks to daddy, I still have an RV to use! He lives two blocks from SC so I am picking it up there and heading over.

Yes, my husband went and grabbed my out flags on Friday I believe..they were handing them out at the tent city tent i think. We fly ours everywhere, Glamis, Ocotillo etc...and we bring them to concerts at tailgate parties.

Haha..I can work from there too! I work from home..so my schedule is open, except I will have school Thurs..and POSS FRIDAY, that will suck if I have to drive all the way home on Fri for school, but I gotta do what I gotta do!

Well, okay, we'll have to make a plan. You do need my tiny RV by you, ha ha. Slides in these tiny sites eat up all the space. Wonder if we can park in a "horseshoe" in there? That would be cool! Anyone else up for that?

I found a microbrewery to take hubby to lunch today. Chicago's Pizza in Temecula, then gonna look at some RV's in the area--have to get him drunk first, then going to the KFROG event to try to win tix--or shoes.

I walk w/a cane if anyone is there, say hi!

Boys going to Sierra's? That's funny. We will be in Sierra's the wkend before SC! Going to family homestead by Auberry/North Fork. Just South of the exact, geological center of CA marker. Coming home Monday, which is why I need a couple days to unload, clean/dump & reload before heading to SC.

No problem! Lets hook up to work it out! Would love the space. Not sure how big Festivals rental is...so hopefully we will have a huge space to party in if we work it out right. Yes, I have seen some people get a Horseshoe in there, a bit tough to do, but it can be done. as long as we stay in our alloted spaces and work with others.
Oh, have fun there! Yes...get him all happy with the happy juice! ahaha good plan! Well SC was changed this year and they moved it up so it ended up being the same as the fishing opener at Crowley...so I finally get my girls weekend out!! whoo hoo!! This is the boys family tradition every year so he cant miss that!

Hi KC...we didn't get tickets OR shoes today...but it was fun meeting up with you and planning. Our rental is 27' with slide outs. (or at least that's what Jess and I reserved !!) Ours will be delivered, so I just need to plan the delivery time with Albert's, and make sure it gets parked in the ADA section.

Kymery
03-14-2009, 04:27 PM
Glad you all got together to get things planned. Sorry you didn't win tickets.

Wonder if meeting up with delivery companies will allow you to pull in with a group so you can park next to whomever you pull in with? I am sure it will all work out. It can't be that big of an ADA area....I at least hope not!! haha

We all need to see when we are all arriving to work all this out. Make a huge train pulling into the ADA spots!

Well, I'm game for whatever, I normally arrive fashionably late to avoid the line up, but in this case, we have to line up together. As the time gets here, we can work it out. Sorry you didn't win tix either, you sure drove a long way, hope lunch was good. That was fun to meet you, I didn't know you'd be there, so that was cool. Hubby was confused, poor man, he never understands how I always know people. Funny!

ha ha.. your poor husband... I'm sure it didn't help when I asked if he was "the captain"..i was thinking it was a nickname, like "Captain and Tenille"...."wasn't thinking of the other captain we all know.."morgan"!! lol. Well this wasn't on our to do list today, it was the "tickets for Stagecoach every 15 min" that did it. (12 pair of tickets !) My daughter needs tickets, with your post and the mommies, I agreed to make the drive and try and beat the odds. But here's the rub...
The dim bulb ding bats on the KFROG street team, said they only had 4 pair of tickets, not 12, and the give away was every half hour. GRRRRR..!! I was ticked, and so were plenty of others who also read it was every 15 min. Those KFROG girls were not the brightest crayons in the box.
Sorry I messed up on the trivia answer for your hubby, too... no wonder he was confused!! Oh well, this is only the beginning of what will be a fun SC weekend.
Closer to the date we'll work out the details, and the parking. I'll touch base with the rental company and get a feel for their set up plans.
We'll need patience and a good plan.
BTW.. we never did talk about the wristbands!! ha ha... we'll talk later...!!

Hey Fest, I only went that far because it said every 15 mins too! ughhhhhhh, & I didn't get to take hubby to lunch either., we couldn't find either place. But we did look at a couple RV's, so not a total waste. No biggie on the trivia, I only wanted the tix. Dang. So now I'm looking at recipe's for fondues to match w/the jello shooters--ha ha.
And YES, my bud the Captain, Cappy is of the Morgan type. Never camp w/out him.

you guys should really contact KFROG about the difference of 12 pairs of tickets versus 4. Truth in advertising can get you into a whole lot of trouble. They should honor the ad and give you guys tickets or hold another event of 12 pairs of tickets in that amount of time as a givaway.

Hubby was confused, poor man, he never understands how I always know people. Funny!

I get that same thing from my husband..he always says "so you gonna know someone here?"

So Festival...do we need to get all together to get on what time were all arriving so we can work it out? Let me know...I know Jessie and I have chatted, but we all need to be on the same page. Hopefully with building a great group on ADA we can work out a great, fun group with some great "party space"

hmmm did you get it on line and is it an ADA spot?

Yes, you order on line thru TM..you click the BUY ADA link and you fill out a form, it then is sent to TM, they will contact you back that day, usually pretty quick via email. BUT..TM seems to not understand what you want, so be sure it is clear on the order that you are only paying $250 for one ADA spot.

Remember you must have an ADA placecard to camp there also.
