I know I want to camp there, but I have a few issues.
1) First of all, WHICH campground has electric hookups? I don't have a generator.
2) From what I see so far, that means I HAVE to camp in El Dorado I? $750, are you kidding me??
3) I don't have anyone to drive my truck. My husband has no interest in going, but I cannot drive our truck ('07 Ford 250) and 33ft 5th wheel.
I am still trying friends to agree to attend, but since none of us have been, we are a little shy!! I am getting nervous because I only have a few days to put a site on layaway!!
Any comments are appreciated. I know I will get friends to go, its just the stress of planning, etc!!

Hello and welcome :)
1.) El Dorado I is the ONLY campground with electrical hook-ups.
2.) If you want electric, unfortunately you will have to camp in El Dorado I and pay the $750.
3.) Hopefully you can find some friends to go with you and they can help you
drive your truck and 5th wheel and contribute to the cost of the El Dorado I ticket so it won't cost as much.
I've been to Stagecoach before, but have never camped. We are just as excited, except I'm the only one stressing about the rv rental, getting to the campsite on time etc.
Hope this info helps you out! Everyone here is very friendly and helpful, so I'm sure they can help you out too.

You could also buy or rent a generator... You can buy a cheapo from pep boys/Kragen. Might not be enough to run the AC, but it will keep the lights/refrig on, and you probly need one for the RV anyway. Or a rental from any construction rental, but you might need a hefty deposit w/out an account. Either way your looking at a couple-few hundred bucks, which added to the $250 ED 2 is still cheaper than ED 1.
And if your looking for someone to drive the truck try Home Depot... There are always plenty of guys in the parking lot looking for work.

Heylove, welcome to the boards.
Do you have anyone that would drive it for you? Girl, get in that truck and drive it! It is actually real easy, I drive a long bed crewcab and pull my 37' 5th wheel everywhere, my hubby never (no kidding) drives/pulls it. Just swing wide. Practice! You can do it.
NOTHING to be shy about, it is camping with tons of the friendiest people every!
BUT....have you even bought your spot yet? They are sold out and have been for quiet a while. I know a couple have come avail once, but you may be stressing over nothing if they are sold out.

Well, thanks to your suggestion, I finally went to see what tickets are still available. Only International Camping. I've posted a message in the tickets section to see if anyone is looking to sell their ED1 or ED2. I'll just take whichever I get, and figure out the generator thing later if I have to.
Ugh, I really don't know about driving our rig by myself. I've seen my husband get in and out of some RIGHT tight situations. I've had to walk and away and not even watch because I thought it was going to be impossible. I guess with the help of other trailer experts, I'll be able to park/pull in/back out, etc.

Well, that is exactly why my husband doesn't pull it much...he knows I am better at NOT getting into those situations!:D

hahahaha, but OF course, one of those situations was MY FAULT. Followed incorrect directions and ended up a fire access road that turned into a CLOSED dirt road. Oh, and the lights on the trailer stopped working, in pitch blackness. Oh sure, we can laugh about it now! (Okay, maybe I'm the only one...) ;)
One more question....Apparently my trailer is set for 30 amp. Is it totally impossible for me to camp in a 50 amp spot? Is there such thing as a converter? (See, hubby does everything! And just happens to be out of the country so I can't ask him!) Or will the box also be set for 30 amp?

There are converters to go from 30 to 50 and vice versa. I'm with Kymery, get in and drive it....I'm the one that pulls our 24ft (granted not as long as yours) trailer, but I do a much better job than the hubby. Even if you just drive it in, both Kymery and I will be there and probably get help you back it as well as the big group of nice people.

It is just a plug attachment. the 50 amp is just so you can run a huge motorhome, and tons of stuff. I have plugged mine in to 50 amp no problem. you really dont need all that ampage..but it is nice with 3 hairdryers going!

When I follow the links to buy the tickets, it takes me to Goldvoice, where it says all ED1 and ED2 tickets are sold out. Where are you guys looking?

Ah...maybe because I'm trying to put them on Layaway? The website says the last date for layaway is 2/28. Hmmm, what to do, what to do....

Hi everyone... I am still trying to purchase my ticket for ED 1 or ED2 --> RV / trailer and I've looked through the BUY NOW and LAYAWAY and it says they are sold out. The thing is that if I select the one that is still availiable it says RV parking ED 1 or 2 but then it says Adult Admission /Gen. --> so does that mean I am purchasing a entry to the event or the camping pass... it has a Seat number and Row number but I have already purchased the tickets to get in the the event. I simply need RV tickets... can someone please clear this up for me...

ED 1 tickets are $750 so if that is what it says the cost is, then you got the right ticket.
row/seat doesnt mean anything for camping.
ED 1 is NOT sold out.

I have one more question... when I am choosing the ticket it says DATE 4/25 or 4/23 ... I want to be there at least 2 nights... like get there friday and leave sunday... do I choose the one that says 4/23... and does that include campsite for entire weekend....
*** also... if I get the ticket that says the 25th 8:00PM --> am I not able to go to the site UNTIL 8PM??? ***
Sorry this is my first time getting a camp site for this event...
Thank you....
