Ok..I personally contacted the Mister peeps...here is their reply:
Yes I will be at the stagecoach fest this year. I will have 2 booths in the main area. and maybe one in the camp grounds. This year I will have 8 people working the booths so the lines should be much shorter this year & they will move faster too. I will be bringing 4000 bottles this year so I'm pretty sure I won't run out on Sunday.
The cost will be $12.00 each with free refills again. The bottles were $10.00 last year but these bottles are bigger & better then last years. (plus the rent tripled this year. Yuk) We can do a pre order if you would like. You could order them on our web site, but then shipping would be involved. You could call me & place an order and pick it up at the event & then not have to wait in line.
Sooooo...I have his number (not sure he would want it posted publicly..so pm me) if you want to pre-order to save the lines? Or we can get a huge order together? I know i am pre-ordering one.
ps: sucks rent for anyone TRIPLED!! Guess the campers weren't the only ones biting the bullet! :eek:

then where or why did it get started that we couldn't bring them in?? I wasn't sure why it was an issue to begin with.

I have some info on that and will post tomarrow, but quick of it , he is working on making sure that anyone that did buy one last year can bring them in.

This is what was posted on the FAQ page.....this may be where the issue got started. Many of us, including me, bought one last year and want to be able to take it inside for the day.
Can I bring a water squirt gun or mister?
Sorry, these will not be allowed into the venue, though there might be some mister fans available for purchase onsite.

Ok, Scott is definately trying to make sure we can bring them in the venue if they were purchased from him last year.
Especially if he has a vendor booth in the campgrounds, then we definatley should be able to. Or so you would think??
I will check with my contact at the fest. and see if I can get the question answered . I would like for the customers from last year to be able to bring them back this year. Since the spray bottles look kinda similar, I would think that they would be ok. I will let you know. I will make it a point to fight to have last years misters allowed in this year. The only thing is that I may charge $1.00 per refill on last years misters. but this years will be free refills. I need to try to cover my expenses on the ice. last year I went through $800.00 in ice.

Thanks for working on getting us the information Kymery. It will be nice to know in advance what I can pack and bring in. I would much rather not bring it in if it's just going to get confiscated. (like my "empty" thermos was last year).

Thank you!! I got some requests to maybe get a pre-order done for him..that way he can get the together for our group. Maybe I can get them from him delivered to my camp. Be nice to not have to wait in line as he said.

I have the translucent blue with the matching handle...it also has a great shoulder strap..really nice. can't really tell what the total volume capacity is...

This might be a dumb question but what is being charged for refills? Water? Do you drink the mister water? Otherwise I would think you could also go to the water fountains to refill, just as an extra source. Though I am guessing the mister guy would be easier to locate. haha.

Well, he actually fills them with ice water for anyone who buys from them, just much cooler considering...but yes, i guess you can fill anywhere you want. Just nice of him to do.
The mister guy is by the entrance, so a walk for the stages if you want a refill..or just refill as soon as you walk in.
Can you confirm from someone that if they were also purchased from him last year, that they can get in. The main page specifically says no misters...but that was the rule last year that if you bought from him, you can bring them back in.

The water fountain that we found had no water pressure. It was just a trickle. I hope they fix that this year.

I am going to order 3+ for myself alone for my family. These are sooo cool. I have the umbrella ones that have misters. They were soooo perfect at the race track. When my boys were on the starting line, we held them over them in the 110 weather and misted them to keep them cool till they hit the track. But those aren't allowed in SC.

haha..he said $12 this year due to bigger sizes...but included free ice water refills.

Have there been any updates on the misters? This thread talks about pre-ordering and not standing in lines? :confused: does that mean that you'd get your mister in the campground and take it in with you? (has anyone found out for sure if they Will let you take it in?) What was the line like for the refills last year? I'm trying to decide if I should buy one (or some) or not.... I took a thermometer with me the 1st year and it read 118 at one point! Yikes! :) an ice water mister sounds WONDERFUL....aaaahhhhhhhhh........ :)

I am in talks with the mister dude...He is trying to confirm that the ones that have been purchased by him in previous years are allowed in. Rules say NO misters allowed, so you had to buy them from this guy once inside, but they did allow those in over the weekend. The guy said he would do a pre-sale for me so I would not have to wait in line. He was also considering a vendor spot inside the campgrounds.
Refills would be free for the NEW purchases and $1 for the older models he said, due to cost of ice and space rent tripling. Still a deal!
I will ask him about all this.

Damn..I was just thinking about this guy!! my ears were ringing..or yours were. I have been soooo busy. I will find his email and see if he will have a booth inside the campgrounds. It was gonna be too much to do a pre-order anyway...easier to just buy from him on your CC or cash when you arrive.

I just emailed him asking if he found out if he will have one in there or not...and if anyone can bring in "last years" misters they bought from him (since misters are not allowed unless you buy from him)
I will let ya know what he says. I didnt do the pre-order..to hard to get everyones money to me then to him. We thought better to just buy direct at the venue.

Ok...fill me in...what kind of misters are you talking about? Like the hand-held ones with fans? or the ones that you attach to your trailer and mist on the outside so that it decreases the temperature under the awning and inside the trailer? Which are not allowed. Hell, I'm going inside and turning on the a/c!

Ok here is what he told me.
Yes, he will be setting up in the campgrounds Thurs am. He was also told that YES if you bought last years model then YES you can bring it into the venue. He will have both on display so hopefully there will be no confusion at the gate entrances.
Refills for last years model $1.00 and free refills wit the purchase of this years model.
