Well, I got tickets even though I might not be in town. I didn't want to miss out and my bosses can't make up their minds about where I need to be. So Keith, here I come (hopefully!!). Anyone else going?

I am keeping my fingers crossed for a SD show.....looks like there are a few days between the LA show and their next one.....thats what Keith has done before...adds on SD last minute......

Since this is on a Sunday, Doug can't go, so I can't..ughh!! But wait till you hear what Jessie got for seats!!! AWESOME 5th row! i am sooo jealous

haha Thank you! I just searched using the radio presale and also with the venue presale..better seats with the venue presale, just no floor! wish we would of tried that first! duh!! I totally forgot I had both passcodes!

I checked ticket prices and availability yesterday when they went on sale to general public. Is it me or does it seem like the "garbage fees" have jumped way up on ticket sales lately? not just a few dollars anymore.

Fees are TERRIBLE! Was listening to KROQ (106.7) the other morning and the DJs were talking to a rep regarding some pending lawsuits with TicketBas*ard and their godawful fees... A $50 ticket should NEVER end up costing 70 freakin' bucks!!

What I don't understand is why the fee's are different (even at the same venues)
Keith Urban - $17.95
Taylor Swift - $16.85
Brooks & Dunn - $14.80
Billy Joel & Elton John - $20.40
Stagecoach - $32.80
Convenience charge seems to run from 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, etc
Order processing 3, 4, 5, 6 etc.

My mom said our tickets arrived! YAY! We'll have to figure out some tailgating plans. (We have a little time to figure that out though) :)
I havent received my ticket yet :(

I totally agree.
My favorite is the Ticketfast charge... We'll save money on printing, postage, even an envelope. You'll use your printer, your paper, your ink to print the tickets. And then you'll pay us too! WTF???
You know what else sucks? If you ever want to look at ticket availability you have to agree to the Ticketmaster privacy policy before they'll show you the seats. The policy says that they can share your contact info with the venue and artist you are checking tickets for even if you don't buy the tickets -- just for looking at seat availability. And there is no way to opt out of this policy, you have to agree (you can opt out of the spam after you start receiving it but WTF).
I actually wrote to the CA Attorney General about this and got a response. They wanted me to fill out some paperwork in order for them to consider taking action against tm.
Anyhow, I've seen Keith before and was less than impressed and I've already seen Sugarland a few times so I'm not going to this one.

Well, Princessjess and I are going to HOB tonight to see Keith Urban..So excited for this "private" show. Thank you Jess for the invite!! But I'm sure he will put on a great show with this tour. He has new songs and all along the tour his opening acts will be different. Glen Campbell, ZBB and of course Sugarland have been listed so far. Each show will no doubt be a great fan draw. Hey USC, try winning tickets, he may surprise you!! We'll post a concert review to entice you.
Thanks for aggreeing on the ticket garbage fees....It's a slap in the face to those of us just trying to go to the concerts !!

You are most welcome Darling! This is going to be a PHENOMENAL show! Keith Urban is an AMAZING artist! I have been to many of his shows, in different states, at all types of venues and I've NEVER been disappointed! He's the only Headliner that I've seen that will jump down into the middle of the audience and sing a song... with hundreds of fans surrounding him then GIVE his guitar to a fan at the end of the song! :D
Here is a few more artists that will be joining Keith on his 2009 Tour~ Dierks Bentley, Taylor Swift and Lady Antebellum!
You guys have a great time tonight. I know you both will.

ok.. here's the scoop. Those of you that are seeing him in July?? Hold on to your seats, you're in for a GREAT concert. He is a performer that does not dissappoint. He played for about an hour and a half, old songs, fan favorites and a few new ones from his new CD. HOB is a neat place to be up close and personal and great for pics. (But naturally I couldn't get the lighting right, so I need to look at them before posting.) He is so comfortable on stage, connects well with the audience and the band. ANY show you're able to see on his upcoming tour will be great !!
(Oh, and I got to smooze with Shawn Parr, Ashley Page and Paul Freeman for a few moments, too. I felt like a celebrity... ha ha, I'll post that on another thread, though.)
Keith Urbans new CD hits stores tomorrow and I can't wait. I love his new song "sweet thing".

Keith Urban's private concert @ the House of Blues was INCREDIBLE!! We had a blast at the show! I love his new songs! I CANNOT WAIT for his July concert @ Staples! :D
