Hi Folks,
This will be our first year attending Stagecoach. We have a campsite in ED1. I sure hope we have a fantastic time, I had to forgo my planned brain surgery in order to afford the campsite!
My motorhome is a 40 footer so there will be no room to park my dingy anywhere near the campsite. That being said, I want to make sure I pack everything I need for the weekend.
What tips can you fine folks provide me on what I should pack and what I should leave at home? Since I won't have my dingy nearby, do they allow electric golf carts?
Any other tips would be appreciated. Thanks!
Craig

3rd...Bring clothes, hygene stuff, food, water and your preferred drink! Sun block. OH and your tickets!!
4th...No, no golf carts of any type. No elect scooters etc..only bicycles I think are allowed.

really??
A dinghy is a small boat usually towed behind a larger boat...I think he was referring to not having a smaller vehicle behind his 40' motor home.
and I really think he was joking about brain surgery...as a joke, perhaps referring to the cost of camping in ED1.
well, that's how I interpreted his post.....

Ok, this rain is obviously getting to me. I know what a dingy is but I guess I didn't get where he said:

...because he wasn't able to bring the dingy that he needed to remember to pack. Isn't your RV usually already packed for the most part? Hmmmm....guess I am missing the joke? haha
Yeah, hopefully he was joking on the brain surgery. Sheesh...God knows the things I am putting of to go too!

Hi Craig, this is what I learned last year...no matter how well I planned, packed, and prepared. we still needed stuff at the store. Fortunately there are a few stores nearby for the forgotten items... and of course the "pepsi run". You may meet up with folks who have an extra car and you can work out a deal.
Think to pack all your food, fixins and needs for the whole weekend. As well as clean clothes, (duh), hats, visors. I always take a spare pair of sunglasses in case mine break or get lost.
but we did need our jackets at night, and cool water misters during the day.
You'll always want cold water to drink, and something to wash your feet in at night. loved the small pool idea, but the water was pretty gross after a few days.
The best advice I got from last year was.. COMFY SHOES !!! lots of walking.
hope that helps..

One lesson I learned the hard way is to make sure you have Sunscreen chapstick. I don't normally even think about chapstick. Last year my lips got completely flakey and peeling. At first I thought it was chapped lips but soon discovered that it was sun burned lips. yikes! SPF 30 chapstick saved me the rest of the weekend.

My boat....you mean there's no lake nearby? Just Kidding!
FestivalFan is correct....some motorhome owners refer to the vehicle that they are towing behind them as their dingy or toad. Sorry for the confusion. I see that there is free parking offered for towed vehicles. How far will this be from ED1?
Just kidding about the brain surgery....just a comparison to the price the weekend is costing. :D
Thanks!

haha...love your humour...but will say after 40+ yrs of rving with my family, the only things we called dingy, was our small fishing boat and the man of the house:D

beer is not too bad, however if i remember correctly the mixed drinks are super tiny and a bit more pricey.
I was out of town when "craigtaz" posted this thread and it's FREAKING me out. hehehe. Just add an S to the last name and re-arrange one letter and your my ex husband.

Ohio drink prices vs. California drink prices  your going to need to drain your kids college fund. I think last year it was like 10 bucks for a very tiny rum & diet. I'm no longer shocked at concerts when I'm told 15 or 18 dollars for ONE drink. What your going to need the most is WATER and they were 2 dollars each.

Concert prices for beers in Ohio are generally between 5$ and 7$ depending. Liquor more like $9. I can understand H20 as I went to the Daytona race in July and was overly dehydrated! How warm are we talking? 80's, 90's? more? As i look i keep getting different answers. and cold at night a sweatshirt will do??? Im coming with 2 male friends so I should be toasty! LOL

he required a special "footectomey annus removal" :D I'm sure he has recovered by now.

count on more. We will be very lucky if it's in the upper 90's in Indio in late April. Last year at that time it was 105. We are California weather wooses (at least I am) and if it's not a perfect 85 we are going to complain. It will cool down to around the lower 60's in the evening. All I needed was a t-shirt at night because I insulated from the inside out.

That's where the Royal Stretch comes into play.........
Light sweatshirt was just fine for this So. Cal. pansy. I bought an Eagles hoodie on Friday night and it was perfect. Hot as all get out during the day. Reminded me of the couple of years I lived in Phoenix! Just don't forget the bandana to wet down. It helps tremendously!
