Is anyone as dissapointed in this show as us? Doug does the monitoring/surveying for this show and gets to watch all the hype being set up so he gets excited to see this show and how it all comes together.

From the second the show came on we were very disappointed. Jokes bad, timing off, sound horrible.

Was Whitney Houston high? Couldn't even understand/here U2 (thank goodness for the lyrics in the background)

Did anyone also notice that hardly any awards were given out? They kept announcing them briefly. More acts than awards (not really complaining, but isn't this an award show?)

Like when Carrie was introduced, they slipped in real quick that she won country album or singer or something, right as she was about to sing! WTF? Unfortunately, she is hitting the worst dressed list too!!!!:eek::eek:

Miley and Taylor: Horrible vocals!! Couldn't even understand them. Also did anyone notice that when they were announced together in the begging of the show as performers, they had the worst applause reception. We wondered why since so popular.

Jennifer Hudson: LOVED her performance, but WTF on her other dress she accepted her award in...did she forget to take of her dinner napkin from her chest?

And how about Allison Krause, never said a word, but made sure she stared INTENTLY at Robert Plant when he spoke, leaning forward to see his face. She looked strange too!

I know I am out of it with rap/pop/etc...but Doug listens to much of it and never heard of many of these people. OMG and that pregnant M.I.A. girl! WTF, she should of been MIA in that at 9 mos! Have some class.:eek:

I did enjoy Coldplay...just wish they left the rap crap part out of it.

Sugarland: Made country proud! Very classy and funny.

Jonas Bros and Stevie: I admit, I really enjoyed this performance! Had my foot tappin (wow...did I say that?)

WTF: Keith Urban getting third billing...he did a 4 second solo in the background, why even have him up there with 5 other guitar players.!

Guess this is why they call it THE GRANNIES? As I read yesterday, cuz its OLD MEN WHO VOTE AND DECIDE ALL THESE WEIRD SINGERS AND CATEGORIES.

I didn't know they were on either until I heard Miley and Taylor screeching on the radio this morning during those Hollywood News segs on the morning show...sounded like 2 cats having their tails stepped on in unison.....yikes....though what little I heard, Taylor sounded better than she has in previous performances, but then again, she was singing with MILEY.....heck, I could sound half decent next to Miley and I can't carry a tune in a DUMPTRUCK!! LOL!!!

In general, these awards shows keep getting worse and worse. CMAs are the only ones that I can handle, even then I have to watch them on DVR so I can immediately FFW through painful stuff like Kellie Pickler last year...UGH....

Yeah, so I pretty much agree with Kymery about the Grammy's...

My Mom was watching some talk show yesterday morning (The View, I think) and they had Mario Cantone on the show to comment on the Grammy's. He cracked me up when he got to talking about M.I.A. - "Is she crowning? Oh no...that's just a polka dot." I absolutely hate that song and it made me hate it even more when I saw that performance. Distuuurbiiiiiing.

It did seem to me that there weren't very many awards given during the award show - which disappointed me.

The dinner napkin on Jennifer Hudson's dress - yeah. I'd like to talk to ONE person who didn't think that about the dress! LoL.

After the duet thing with Allison Krause won so many awards...I think I may need to download the song and listen to it. I've never even heard of it! :/

I disagree on the Coldplay performance...I lo0o0ved the "rap crap" in it! LoL

I think I'm in the same hate boat for The Jonas Brothers as you are for Taylor Swift, Kymery!! They annoy me to no end! LoL

Sugarland I always love. I absolutely lo0ove Jennifer Nettles and think she is amazing.

And yeah - Keith Urban still hot in my book, but that solo was pointless. So lame.
