View Full Version : Hollywood Bowl - Country Program 09
I just received my Hollywood Bowl program and here are some country artists that will be playing.
Garth Brooks - June 19th...looks like he is going to be there just as a presenter for Dame Kiri Te Kanawa & Josh Groban as 10th anniversay inductees Hall of Fame to the Bowl. The inductees will be performing.
John Fogerty - July 2-4. He was such a hit at SC. this is also with a 4th of July fireworks show which at the bowl is SPECTACULAR and runs about 20 minutes in two different sets.
Jewel - July 24 & 25 - Title: The art of song and sounds like not singing any country???
Ray LaMontagne - July 12th
Faith Hill - July 17 & 18
Like I said to FF - This facility is such a bargain for me (and hopefully you too). Bus right near work for $5.00 round trip and it drops me off right at the front door of the bowl and it's the last place where you can bring in all your own food and drink which saves me a TON of money.

Yeah, it says no alcohol but EVERY venue has to say that. If you bring a bottle of wine or Champagne you take it to the left of where they look in your stuff first and they put a label on the bottle and then you can take it inside. I put my rum in a squeeze bottle and I also bring a thermos to drink my rum & diets in. I usually either bring in a salad or a wrap or sushi for dinner. I have a nice cooler setup and it fits right underneath my seat.

Hey Rose, I'm thinking about one of John Fogerty's nights...let me know if you are too. My mid July schedule is not known yet, I'm usually gone. But I would love to try and see Garth and hear Josh Groban again, too. I need to see when they do start ticket sales to the general public for their summer series.
FF - if I remember correctly tickets go on sale about a week or two before SC. I'll keep you posted when I get my notice. Of course they will add concerts during the season which is not on the original 09 program.

thanks Rose, I sometimes hesitate buying tickets too early knowing they add to their schedule. that's still a long way out, too.

Any chance of booking him for WWF ?? ha ha...we all wish..lol
I know plenty of people have seen him at different venues...he is an all time favorite of mine. When he did 5 shows at Staples last January, I went to 4 of the 5. he was awesome. Exhausted, but each show was different, he gave his all. Interacts with the fans, and is truly appreciative and humbled by the fan following. A real class act. I'm hoping he makes another pass through southern calif. soon.
