Thanks Rose! I love Taylor and will for sure be at the LA concert. Wish I was able to do the San Diego one but I have school the next day. Already have a group of friends also that are coming with me to see Taylor! Should be an eventful day!

Yes. She is that big. If you noticed, last year she was the biggest selling artist out of any genre selling over 8 million records and over 2 million digital tracks. (itunes, amazon.com, etc.) She is huge!!
I can't wait to see her in S.D. :)

Staples has a pre-sale password and I just received an AEG Live pre-sale password.
"Gloriana" will be opening up. This group is really making the rounds. Looks like I will be seeing them this weekend when they open up for LeeAnn Rimes at State Line and then they will also be opening up for B&D at Universal.

Bringing in the "new ones" is very important to keep country music around. Even if it's kinda popish. At work we rung in a heavy metal guy by Taylor & Julianne's cuteness...now he's listening to Garth Brooks. We call him our "asian redneck"

I love Taylor but do think that some of her performances I've seen on TV have not exactly been great. My sister saw her on the New Year's Eve special and asked "how did that girl become so popular? She sounds like crap!" I defended her though - but at the same time agreed that it was her best!
I passed on this show ($$) but have enjoyed the times I've seen her before! Her and Kellie make a good team, so it'll be a good show and maybe they'll sing some stuff together? Haven't heard of Gloriana yet, but will have to check them out.

To watch that energy and talent of her song writing was amazing....:D
The young ones could see it and she made me feel young at heart.
She had the best stage presence up front and even kept singing after loosing her ear piece.
I have great photos from it.
I see some of ya older ones don't care for her....:p
I'm sure that is why youth is never wasted on the young......:D
She is a class act so anyone old stay out of the way of this freight train of talent....:cool::cool::cool:

I'm a nerd and read Taylor's MySpace blogs when she posts them... Anyway - here's part of her recent one - sounds like she's excited about the LA show!
And - I haven't really heard any info about the Grammy's - but her and Miley should be...interesting! :)

I was at work the other day, and they had KISS FM playing in the sharpening room, and Taylor Swift comes on.... Have you ever heard Garth, Merle or Loretta on Kiss?..... What a sell out.

I agree, she is liked by most...it's on of those, if you love her you really love her and vice versa. Just hate that it's a Scalpers Christmas with these shows.
Look what happened to Springsting last week and his concert. No one could buy them, but 2 minutes later TM was sending people to THEIR other owned site to buy them at three times the price. How in the hell can TM own a scalping company...let alone refer to one. The innocent, hard core fans, and ones that can barely even afford the tickets don't have a snow balls chance in hell to get a ticket.

lol. No we didn't drop out of school. My sister just graduated from SDSU with her BA but at the same time got laid off from her job. So now with a degree but no job she gets pretty bored so we take bartending classes on weekends and then soon try and find a bar somewhere downtown and apply :D

I have heard many, many people doing that. Bartending schools must be thrilled. I am actually going back to get my LVN in April! I just love nursing..so may as well just get another step up to my RN

I was at work the other day, and they had KISS FM playing in the sharpening room, and Taylor Swift comes on.... Have you ever heard Garth, Merle or Loretta on Kiss?..... What a sell out.
Id like to take that little white horse of hers and stick it where the sun dont shine.....

I don't know what kind of station KISS FM is for you guys but we have been hearing Taylor on our STAR station, which is like, VH1 on the radio, top 40 type stuff so I wasn't shocked to hear her there. But yesterday I was listening to 93.3 which is our HIP HOP/RAP/R&B station and THEY WERE PLAYING A DANCE TYPE MIX OF TAYLOR SWIFT!!! :eek: WTF!?!?! :eek: Seriously, just another sign the APOCALYPSE is coming!!! ;) I can't wait til the kids and the media have moved on from her and found another next-big-thing, and we don't have her shoved in our face or assaulting our ears every 5 minutes!! UGH!!!

I agree, she is liked by most...it's on of those, if you love her you really love her and vice versa. Just hate that it's a Scalpers Christmas with these shows.
The innocent, hard core fans, and ones that can barely even afford the tickets don't have a snow balls chance in hell to get a ticket.

I think its also that her on stage talent doesn't back up the hype. Take Carrie Underwood for example, she has a MUCH BETTER voice than Taylor, and she is all over the place and her songs are ridiculously overplayed on the radio and such but EVERY TIME that girl gets behind a mic she KNOCKS IT OUT OF THE PARK. And always has. I am not a big fan of Carrie's music, just a few songs (just like Taylor, yes I do like a few Taylor songs and have them on my ipod) but THAT GIRL has some PIPES! I guess for me, if Taylor could back up the hype on stage I wouldn't feel quite so annoyed by her. I would be shocked if we did a poll on here of who had a BETTER VOICE LIVE Carrie or Taylor, and Carrie didn't win. By a landslide.

Well, again, Taylor sounded horrible along side the other horrible performance, Miley last night! What the heck. It is the young kids who make them and keep them popular with no understanding what a good voice is. Her albums sound good cuz they mix and re-mix her voice (and Mileys as well) to sound decent.
Doug and I just could not believe it. Doug kept saying, "I don't remember her being so bad". I reminded him of the last awards show:mad::D

ummmm never been before. I don't want to scare you. BUT...it's supposed to be a 20 minute drive and I think only ONCE in my life it's been that short. I think the longest time was 3 hours. I want to say normal is about an hour or so.
Parking at Staples is $20.00
Countrygurl turned me on to taking the bus and then the subway for $5.00 round trip and now that's the only way I will go to Staples or Club Nokia.

You can also find meters to park out surrounding Staples Center. I always have luck on Grand or Olive between 11th and 12th. After 6 pm the meters are free!!

If you get there early enough before the show - I can tell ya of some places to park on the street for free... Going to Staples 2 and 3 times a week for hockey games adds up! haha If you're willing to walk a few blocks - it's worth it. But if you're willing to pay for parking and not a cheapskate like me, then I don't see why you'd end up paying more than $20... :)

So the Taylor Swift Concert was THE BEST concert I have ever been to. My daughter and her friends LOVED every second of Gloriana, Kellie and Taylor. I loved John Mayer LOL!! We had great seats.....10 rows from the side stage.....so when they stood on the side ramps, we were 5 yards away. We scored Meet & Greet passes for Gloriana from Go Country and Kellie Pickler Meet & Greet passes from her fan club site. The artist managers were so GREAT that they let the four of us attend both M&G's even though we only had two passes. Kellie was the sweetest thing ever. We even got to meet MooMoo (her dog) Gloriana was so much fun. We met them before the show and they lOVED the sign we had made for them. Staples Center staff wouldn't let us in with it. The security guy tore it in half and threw it away. When we arrived at the M&G they remembered us and assked about the sign. We told them what happened and they were so upset. They told their managment and he radioed to someone to get him who ever was in charge of door security and told them to allow fans to bring in signs. Just warn them to be curtious of the people sitting around them and not hold it up the whole show.
Gloriana signed a bunch of stuff for the girls and gave them all guitar picks!! so cool. Before the show we met Taylor's dad and he told us about John Mayer and gave the girls guitar picks. So, we now have a collection of guitar picks.The section we where sitting in was the last section sold, so when I looked down I could see the instument guys and stage hands running around. so, I'm singing away and I look down and who is standing 2 feet away from me... JOHN MAYER!!! He was so nice. We chatted briefly and he signed for me and the girls. What a night we had!!!! We also got to meet...Jennette McCurdy who plys "Sam" on iCarly, Perez Hilton, Francia Raisa who plys "Adrian" on The Secret Life of the American Teenager and we saw Lucas Till, the love interest in Taylors latest video. He was with Taylor's parents.
So we waited until 2:30 am praying we'd get to meet Taylor, but no luck. Her security hurried her on the bus and off she went. She did stop and handed the girls guitar picks. They were so thrilled that they got to touch her hand.
All in All...AN AMAZING NIGHT I KNOW MY DAUGHTER WILL NEVER FORGET.

The big surprise went off without a hitch. Little Bit loved the show. She was shocked! She sang every song and she was even screaming! That really surprises me because she is so reserved. She started to crash at about 10:00 p.m. but she refused to leave. She was wishing at the end that Taylor would finish but she still didn't want to leave. She was so happy and had so much fun. Yaay!!
Pictures tomorrow, this Mama is tired and off to bed.

She's a fairly reserved Little Bit. She was very happy, she just doesn't tend to show it much. Had a lot of fun!

Ah, I'm so happy someone put this video up! At 1:12, the girl with the brown hair was waving and pointing at me! I was so excited!
The Taylor concert was AMAZING... after she was done singing in the crowd the security told us that Taylor was going to be coming down our aisle to get back to the stage. They roped it off and then brought her down. I video'd it and my friend held out her camera and we got a picture with Taylor. She was the SWEETEST thing ever. I will put the video up asap. And I'll add our photo with Taylor to my profile pictures..

Well I programmed it last week and then my DirecTV deleted it. I set something called Dateline yesterday but not sure what it recorded. I'll check it out tonight USC and then I can get you a copy if it did record.

Hi guys. We set it also. Our guide showed one at 9 one at 10 we set it to record both but only got one. And of course its the wrong one. I went to Dateline's website people were saying it got preempted becuz of Stanley Cup?

I hate to say it but I got to watch it. I don't have TIVO or a DVR otherwise I would give you all copies. Hopefully they will re-run it for you all. It was good. If this is any indication on Taylor in control of her career and being a good role model then she is going to be around FOREVER.
She just needs to stay away from all the train wrecks.

I believe the 2am one was the Taylor Swift one - I just scanned through it to see if it was really it... Haven't watched it yet, but could put it on a VHS tape for you if you like Mr. Psycho? :)
