So here's the scoop. MillerLite and Kat are going to the Josh concert that night then to the Stampede. I'm going too. I think some of my firends are going on Saturday for a night of fun and dancing. Some are spending the night nearby so there won't be any driving...(Roadway, Ramada, Motel 6) Not sure where I'll be yet. So.....anyone interested? HTA's a maybe...Hankdog, pencil us in. Jess, you in??

Kymery, I'm pretty sure that if you book motel 6 or rodeway, you can cancel up til 6PM the night of and not be penalized. Might be worth it to be safe! I hope you can make it!

Yeah they made it 18 and up on both nights in either 1999 or 2000. It does make for a more diverse crowd however that means listening to a lot of hip hop.

Actually I had a second trip lined up for that next weekend but it conflicts with my swimming clinic (that I already paid for) so I had to pass it up and go the weekend of the 30th...:(:(

Just a fair warning to you all. You probably already know this, but just in case. I live in Temecula and just last sat night me and DH went to dinner at Bailey's right next door, we saw about 10 police cars in and out of the parking lot the duration of dinner and then when leaving they were hidding looking for drunk drivers I suppose. So do get a Hotel or a cab if your going to join the fun there this weekend. From all your chit chat you have tmepted me to join in on all the fun! I live just about 4 mile sfrom there :)

We will be doing the same thing! I've been to the Stampede many times and yes there are usually a number of police officers around that area.... they won't bother you unless you are doing something wrong! (it's a no brainer) ;)

Aw thanks to all of you, I feel like we are becoming friends already with all this support. Just talked to my DD she has plans and is laughing at me, she is my "country bumpkin" such a sweetheart and always loved country no matter what her peers had to say about it!
We are going out with friends tonight so I am going ot hit my girlfriend and perhaps she will join me tomorrow night. Nancy was kind enough to give me her number so I will call her if it all works out so I know who to look for.

Just checked out the website.. I had bokkmarked it when I read something abouyt it a while ago... My DD's b-dy is the 18th so perhaps I will give that to her for her B-day... Looks liek it is similar to SC camp and go the the concert right? We are in ED1 for SC, that's where we were last year and had a blast.
Now I am more motivated than ever to go to wagon wheel...what a fun B-day suprise for my DD. Food for thought any ways, I will chat with DH tonight about the idea. Let me know if it's set up kind of like SC.

I am sure Mike will also add more info...but yes, two days of concerts, and camping for the weekend, camping is very, very close. Venue is awesome, up close and personal! Activities all weekend. For now it is dry camping, but looking to change that possibly.

Bummer, I won't be there tonight. After all the searching for someone to join me... I am having an overnight house guest tonight, and as she would put it "is allergic to country" I am so insulted with her term, and I hear that from her probably every time I see her. But the best surprise of all, was Hankdog and his wife Bridgette met up with us. Thank you HD, it was so fun having your both join us. Fun having Bridgette dance with us, too. Have they ever given out their # or got someones # at a club or public place? How is that any different? Those are COMPLETE strangers, at least on here you have somewhat of an idea that we aren't total wierdos! Hehe!! ;)
