I have never see Josh live in concert and I HATE the HOB on Sunset but I decided to sign up anyway and hopefully enjoy that Baritone voice.

So many people are siging up to be playing the HOB Sunset and I'm hoping this will change my mind about seeing performers there since it's just over the hill.

KittyLeigh and I are seeing him at Pechanga the weekend before. I'll tell you how it is! I saw Josh open for George Strait last year in Vegas and I really liked him and I didn't know hardly any songs. Looking forward to this show since I'm in one of the front rows!

hey ML...there was some talk in my circle about going to his show at Pechanga for a b-day celebration.. "take me away"...haven't made the commitment yet, though. (the 31st?) super bowl weekend, too, I think

Yup, that's the weekend!! We are going to the concert with KittyLeigh's mom and grandma but we will be there Friday til Sunday...staying at the Motel 6 in Temecula and going to Stampede on Friday and Saturday after the concert. You comin??

hmmm....you mention Stampede, and that just changed everything!! It I wasn't wild about Josh, just lukewarm, but it's sounding better now. we were looking at rooms at Pechanga but I never heard what the rates were. maybe I need to revisit it.
I wonder if any of the "southern" folk want to "do" the Stampede?

Stampede is my favorite!! Honkytonk, we're goin on Friday the 30th and Saturday the 31st after the Josh Turner show. You're welcome to come join us! Pechanga's rooms were way too pricey for us so we're staying at Motel 6 near Stampede. Way cheaper and closer to Denny's for after Stampede. You know you wanna come!!

ha ha.. i do...!!! that's my b day weekend....AND super bowl weekend, so there has been a conflict with schedules, so we thought about doing the bday stuff the following weekend, which is fine.. BUT heck, now I may say nuts to them and do this instead. ha ha.. I want to go to Stampede!!!! i do i do!!!

If any one is driving to & from the Stampede, watch out for the knuckle dragging cops of Temecula who routinely set up a check point on Front Street heading north out of town.

It's possible if my current plans fall through; I didn't see my dad over the holidays but he's notoriously flaky.

Also note, Pechanga doesn't serve booze any more other than wine & beer.

Yeah, true in Temecula!! Not even one block is safe! Let alone it isn't safe to drink and drive as we all know....Call a cab.

Can't wait to see him on the 31st! To be honest, I don't even actually KNOW THAT many of his songs - but that voice gets me...and....he's not exactly bad to look at. I'll need a napkin because of the drooling I'll be doing.

He was SOOOOOOO drool-worthy this past Saturday night. (swoon) We were right up in front and got some great pictures (I can't access the site at work, dangit, but if IHML doesn't post some, I will soon). He leaned over and grabbed my Grandma's hand - she had a GREAT time.

Have fun at your shows this week Rose and Highway - he'll be great. :)

Not sure if I'm posting pics correctly - haven't posted them this way before...

1st one - Josh and his guitar and violen boys

2nd one - IHML and I - there was only one set of people between us and the stage!!!

4th one - My grandma touched him! She was quite smitten with him!

5th one - my fave pic - toward the end of the show. I couldn't stop saying how beautiful he was :)

They had security people posted on the aisles leading to the stage. We were in a section of about 12 or so chairs right up front - but no one crowded the stage. Was nice, but also surprising! The crowed was very mellow. We thought we were going to be annoyed when the guy in the seat next to IHML sat down and said "I hope he's not too loud!" OY!

We were happy though when Josh got everyone to stand up...didn't want to sit back down!

We had up front section also..they said 200 seats..so first come first serve, but Nancy asked one of the bouncers and he said they would let everyone up there...Nancy got tickted...hahaha.threatened to kick arse if anyone went up there...but too late...so we joined the masses. Sorry to say when I turned around, the elderly's in the front row were pissed off!!!! Then some drunk idiot tried to get up front...showed her whos boss...NOT IN FRONT OF ME YOU DONT!!

When we saw him at Pechanga they said no cameras or no photography of any kind but they didn't stop me at all and I was in the second row, in clear view of security. Where there's a will there's a way. He was SOOOOO good!! That's why I'm tempted to go tomorrow night.....

I always take one! Put it in an inside zipper in your purse. They pat you down and wave a wand so don't just carry it in. But they just glance in my purse everytime I go. You should be fine!

Josh was soooo good. That voice of his is incredible.

It was really easy to sneak in my camera. I did what IHML suggested and put it in a zippered part of my purse and then I did an added distraction. It was pouring rain so I got there really early and was like 3rd in line. When they finally decided to start searching people to let us in I shouted out to the young, cute boy that I was demanding a strip search. Everybody started cracking up and he got so flustered that he never even looked in my purse! I promise to take better video next time.

I'm so glad I saw Josh (first time, and won't be the last) but it reminded me just how much I hate the HOB on Sunset. They need to move Anaheim HOB to Sunset. People just don't respect other peoples spaces and I hated being bumped and pushed all night long.
