Special "Save the Date" Reminder--Wild West Hoedown on March 7, 2009
Mosey on down to the Fullerton Arboretum Ranch for an evening of fun, food, and conversation. Be entertained by the flyin' feet of the award winnin' Final Destination clogging team. Learn the latest line dance from Donna Smith. Be sure to mark your calendars so you won't forget.
Join us for the second annual Western Hoedown and BBQ on March 7, 2009. This event will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on the Arboretum pavilion and promises to be fun for everyone. Plenty of food, refreshments, entertainment and dancing will be available. Tickets are $70 each. Call (714) 278-3407 for information.

The original "Minnie Pearl" has passed away (October 25, 1912 - March 4, 1996). They had a very nice tribute to her at the Grand Ole Opry. I took many pics when I was there last year.

Holy Hell Batman $70.00 per person!! Think I will stay home, and kick my boots around my patio and BBQ on my own stuff!!:eek:

So I read the first post actually considered going then I saw the 2nd post about Minnie Pearl going and I love her so I got really excited thennn I saw $70 to attend I reacted with...Sorry I'll stay home! lol
I do my fare share of dancing every Sunday night with my friends at Mulvaney's and now the occasional Temecula Stampede...so I'm good :D hehe

GSF.. does Mulvaney's do country on Saturday nights too? I may be in SD for a conference on a Sat...just thinking ahead. I asked you about InCahoots, but ours does "club Rio" on Saturday's.. boo. We stay far away on "latin" night...

I believe that Mulvaney's has live music on Saturday nights if I'm not mistaken.

Yes Live music is on Sat. nights and Family night for all ages on Sun. nights. but at 10:00 they kick all the kiddies out. :D

Probably a 25 min. drive or less. I would not worry about it, It isn't like the stampede...well it isnt enough like the stampede to drive out of the way. :)

I need to get my map out, or have GSF be my tour guide.... I guess when I hung out in San Diego in my younger years, I just loitered in Mission Bay, Fiesta Island and Pacific Beach.

I was surprised how close the stampede was for me. Straight freeway, easy drive.
