I'm at the 800 foot level and we just might get snow. I've only seen it happen twice in the San Fernando Valley during my lifetime. One of our foreman said it's snowing in Porter Ranch at the foothills right above the 118 fwy. Another one of our foreman called to say it was snowing in Canyon Country which is right around 1100 foot level.

Are you getting snow?

Remember in another post I mentioned having a vacation home near Big Bear? Well, here's my street this afternoon. We have a web cam down the street that refreshes every minute. I Never get tired of looking at pretty pictures like this.

I just received an e-mail from my friend who lives in Big Bear and they are snowed in. R3 chain requirements which are chains even with 4 wheel drive. Here is a picture from the Big Bear Airport

Yeah. I tried going around the closed grapevine to get home...and then they closed those roads. I'm stuck.

I hope your stuck with good friends or a warm motel.

I got stuck once when many many moons ago when I lived in Quartz Hill and worked in the Valley . One of my best friends mom put me up for the night. I did get teased wearing the same clothes to work the next day.

I wish I was stuck with anyone right now! They sent me all by my lonesome, but I did pick a nice hotel for them to cover! LoL. I think even if I do make it back into town tomorrow, I won't head to work. :P

I live in Twentynine Palms and it snowed all day today. I think we got about 5-6 inches, maybe a bit more.

That first picture with the wagons is beautiful. Looks like it's out of a catalog or something!

Wow! So purdy!

Hope some of the snow stays for the next month or so for when I'm heading up to Big Bear with some friends. :) I love the snow - but hate driving in it (it scares me!)

Here are some pictures from this morning that my friend sent me who lives in Big Bear City.

1. Backyard with dog path to the fence from Dog house.
2. To the left buried underneath is a car.
3. Front porch.

I took a picture of the hill by my work this morning and I'll upload it tonight. It's already melted away.

Yes we do!! Some friends and I are planning on heading up for MLK weekend... My grandparents have a place up there that us grandkids use for weekends more often than she does. :)

Chatsworth....3rd time I've seen snow down this far to the SFV. This area was just on fire a couple of weeks ago with 100+ degree temps
