I read the Wal Mart one has a bonus track?!
I know I have said this before (sorry to be a broken record) but I try to not purchase music at walmart because I don't support their practice of editing music. If I want to buy a CD with curse words than I will. Parents should supervisor their own children.
I can't imagine how many bleeps would be in the new Kid Rock CD.

Walmart edits the music they sell???? I did not know this, but I can believe it. My husband used to be a vendor for Walmart years and years ago, and he told me they were very religious.
Well, with that info, I don't think I'd be buying my music from them either.

There is an interesting article in this weeks Entertainment Weekly about Kid Rock and how he wont sell his music on itumes because they sell all songs for 99 cents and he finds that socialistic....some songs are worth more and some much less. I agree with him, but WOW that must cost him some serious cash!

It will say on the side of the CD, right underneath the artist name (edited version). If they sell an edited version they do not carry a regular version that the artist original put out. At least offer both if you going to do that but NOOOOO. Other peoples morals shoved down our throats and I think it's very unamerican.

He actually does have some music on Itunes, but not very much. Most of his music is on Rhapsody and they mostly sell by the album (which runs $8.99, which is actually kinda cheap) and if they sell the individual track, it sells for 99 cents.

Yeah! I agree... this is the melting pot after all, it takes all kinds. Live and let Live, I say!!
I don't think kid rock is doing to bad on his CD sales. Rock n roll Jesus has been on the charts for 57 weeks, currently at #14 and it went double platnium on August 14 this year. I don't like purchasing individual songs and go the CD route because I always find music I like that never makes it on the radio.
People will do what they have to do if they really want something bad enough. Like I will break my rule and go to walmart so I can have my Randy Houser CD. I don't think it will be edited.
My local walmart to work SUCKS. No new releases on the shelves yet for this week. I'm going to have to go to the one closer to home and that's the worst walmart EVER. Nothing in the music section is actually in alpha order and it's all scattered around.
The Kid Rock CD actually said "amended" rather than "edited".
I went to Walmart on Saturday morning to purchase the Randy Houser CD and they didn't have it. I even had the kid check the computer. As he was checking the computer on new releases he started laughing and said "I didn't know that Kevin Costner came out with a CD". I started cracking up and I told him to go on-line and check him out.

Where do actors get off thinking that they can sing and play guitar? It's totally uncalled for. I guess none of them learned from William Shatner, Don Johnson, the other guy on Miami Vice, Steven Segal etc.
