Along with my "regular" job, I also wear the hat of an Orange County Red Cross volunteer, on the medical disaster team. I share this to let you know tomorrow I will be at the Honda Center in Anaheim volunteering in donation collection. The Red Cross has partnered up with KABC 7, KABC talk Radio, and other media broadcasters to establish one of 2 locations (OC and LA) for monetary donations to assist the fire victims. Thankfully many of us were not personally affected, but many people were, and lost everything. Keep in mind that the Red Cross is ALWAYS ready to assist anyone, at any time in the event of any disaster and is supported by donations. They do not judge, discriminate or ever turn anyone away in time of need. You may not need the Red Cross right now, but if you ever do, the Red Cross will be there for you. If you get an opportunity to donate, remember we will be there for you, too.
