Stagecoach Obsession

My stagecoach obsession started a week ago when Shawn Parr said that he was going to announce the line up for 2009 on Friday morning. Like any fanatic I was so excited I couldn’t breathe but I think I took it to the extreme. I started texting everyone I knew about the news. Thursday night I stayed up till mid-night refreshing the stagecoach website waiting to from them to display the line-up. Finally I talked myself into falling asleep but shortly waking up out of a deep sleep to check the site again at 3 a.m. there it was. I was so happy I grabbed my phone wanting to call my brother and tell him the line-up but had to tell myself he is asleep he won’t answer. That is just were it started. At night I dream about stagecoach. I dreamt I missed Brad Paisley’s performance because I was soo wasted and another time I dreamt that I missed the start of the ticket sales and missed getting GC because I was too tired to get out of bed from staying up the night before looking at the website. I wake up in the middle of the night to check the website to see if there are any updates. I basically eat, breath, sleep stagecoach. Does anyone else have this obsession or is it just me?

These are normal symptoms. No need to worry. We all here at SCA (Stagecoach Anonymous) We are always here talking about our love for SC. I am so ready for april!!

we plan more for stagecoach then we do for christmas, graduations, kids b-days and our days off from work. this forum is dedicated to the SC hopeless...and yes we go through withdrawls when we're not planning. I was a SC virgin last year...took me a month to recover afterwards, and every day since.. that's all we've done...plan for 09. yes we are addicted.. and we love it....join the group...

Thanks guys. I've always thought that these symptoms were normal but no one else I was around acted like this or had the same feelings toward stagecoach. I'm glad there are others out there.

Kymery & I have already won our GA tickets!!:D We are happy with that! Reserved seating is not worth it, in my opinion! The line-up as well as the *PRICE HIKE* on the reserved seating and camping... sealed the deal for me and MANY OTHERS!

Gosh..GV is gonna regret all this...look at what we are all doing, the DIE HARD fans of SC, that live on these boards...who love the camping, the venue etc...but just cant do it and opt to sacrifice one or another, hmmmm seats vs. camping vs. hookups vs. GA

The past couple years we got all of it...now we are choosing...some of us on principle, others on funds.

A good point was sent to me: If GV is gonna charge these outrageous rates, just imagine what next year will be. Economy is low and the prices went up...whats gonna happen if/when the economy goes good again..camping will be $1500!!

DONT GET ME WRONG..I know they are a business and cant loose money, but I cant fathom the thought that they are..

Hmmmm...Less Acts..means yes, they may pay for for them to play full sets...but they are hiring 1/2 he artists on the flip side...so saving TONS of money that way.

I love how EVERY thread that is posted gets sidetracked into everyone bitching about the price. im getting a little fed up hearing it. i get it the price is more. well that means you have to sell a little more at work these next couple months, or you have to host a garage sale or sell some crap on eBay in order to pay for the tickets. if you are TRULY SC fans then you really wouldnt care about the price. you find a way to do what it takes to get 'er done! im starting to see where cooter was coming from. sorry i ever doubted you cooter.

I think the tickets for General Admission are a great deal and camping in a tent is pretty cheap. Also, there are still some hotel rooms not THAT far from Indio. You don't have to spend a lot of money to have a great time! Me and my forum gang are proof!

If you go the General Admission route - they're actually about 1/2 the price they were last year!

I love the whole idea of Stagecoach. With little kids and a wife with a due date too close to Stagecoach this year I can't go. But, when the stars align about 5 years from now I'll be back and obsessed all over again.

You should've seen the day before everyone left for the concert....it was crazy on these boards. Then everyone left early for camping and it was just Rose, me and GSF for most of Thursday. Yes, I'm obsessed too and it's MONTHS away.

that i am. has me wondering . . . do they sell ice there? if so, in big bags? i have a coil system that sets inside an ice chest that can bring in beer at 80F and put it out at 36F. all i need is the ability to attain ice.

I was a SC virgin last year...talk about an initiation... zowie..! everything thing I learned about stagecoach...I learned in 4 days last May. This IS the group to learn from, best part of all? lots of great friendships developed from it. You'll never be alone at a concert, either.

you know all the lines...I LOVE em...want to put "Stagecoach...it's redneck cluster fun" on the tire cover on the RV...too funny...& I used to have a tshirt that said Party til ya puke, but I prefer party until juuuuuuuust before ya puke...it's cocktail hr here, didn't do a bit of work this wk, so I'm gonna just start drinkin now...I did spend 3 hrs at the Le Salon Du Kat...I shooooooooowww is pritty now
