Gotta boost sales!! Friday will be the test to see if the reserved seating will be sold out!

Yeah..I agree...I think that when people actually hear the seat prices and the camping on friday at 10am..there will be a turn in sales! The $99 may go good, but...

Like someone else said before.
The reserved seat tickets will be bought up by brookers then resold.
Wait maybe thats what we should do. Buy one set then resale the 2nd to all those so called people who haven't been affected by the economy on ebay in March.
But, wait we actually care about people having a good time at a fair price. So much for that idea.

lol. I saw the SC ad for the first time today, and as always I was on Pins and Needles waiting to hear a clip of one of Reba's songs like Brad and Kenny got one. Nope..went straight from Chesney to Paisley to...KID ROCK?! I wasn't upset because Reba's voice wasn't promoted because her name got said, and that made me smile. But Kid Rock? He has one song, big deal!

he also has an album that has been on the charts for over a year, 56 weeks to be exact, and has pretty much near the top the entire time. that alone is something that just doesn't happen much these days of the internet. he also may bring in some extra people who are not country fans, per se, but may be interested to make the trek out to indio to check it out. remember, it's a commercial on network tv that is meant to appeal to as diverse a group as possible.

I am not trying to dish out kid rock in the least bit. But the fact that he is put up on the mane stage and his name is big next to "real" big country names like Reba McEntire, Brad Paisley, and yes...even Kenny Chesney bothers me. I'm sorry to all the k.r. fans. He is too dirty for my taste in music. "We were trying funny things, and smoking different things"?? k.r. also does rap music and some hardcore rock music, and his mouth is filled with dirt in those lyrics too. I might be more ok with the fact that he is on the mane stage and considered a headliner, if he put out another single from his album then just his one, so I knew what I was dealing with.
Again, sorry to any k.r. fans.

hey... he has 2 songs that I can sing too.. that's it. yes he is country rock, and has his own following. personaly his songs are distasteful to me. I have laughed at a few of the lines, but overall.. not my thing. he hates police, authority, loves his drugs, trashes women and his songs are filled with f bombs...gets old after awhile. I am so hoping someone "good" will be on the side stage if Kid Rock gets too snockered and goes when he's performing..

Oh My gosh...that would be the icing on the cake..to have David Allen Coe there...dang..why aren't these types of artists there?
My one wish..to have a festival, with only old school artists..ok new ones like George Strait and Lee Ann Womack..ones who stay true to country music.
But a girl can only wish.

I don't want to re-hash the argument about old school versus the new school in regards to this genre going from country to cunt-ry but I seriously don't know at which point Nashville decided to start producing vanilla-generic pop country? Nashville won't touch a legend like DAC or the Hag for that matter. I know this is going to offend people, and I apologize, but it's seriously become soccer mom music.

I wish they wouldn't do the new poppy stuff either, but the public that is buying music is what dictates that. Its a ton of young kids listening to country now, because its the cool thing to do, and none of them will pick up a real country song or cd like George Jones, or David Allan Coe, They are eating up this pop crap because its as close as you can get to Britney "Trash" Spears without it actually being her. Labels are going to put out the music that the public is buying because its all about making money now. You just can't argue it, You just have to stick with what and who you love and be true to that and not worry about what everyone else is listening to I guess.... Sucks, sad, but true! I completely agree with you man!

I saw the ad too and was real excited about it.
I thought it was perfect.
Regarding Kid Rock, he does have some songs that lean toward country (if you squint your eyes) and belongs at Stagecoach. The guy is actually pretty talented (more so than some country artists). At another country concert a few years ago he was sick and instead of singing the entire time he went and played every single instrument on the stage during his set. He played the drums, guitar, keyboards, steel guitar, sang, harmonica, and I think even a horn. Yes, he is not a country artist, but he has come over a little to country just like a lot of others have.
I can't wait to see who else is going to be added to the line up in the coming months.
(Go Little Big Town and Zac Brown Band!)
