Will there actually be Gold Circle seats with the same private food/drink/restroom area as the past two years?

GeorgeStraitfan1

most likely. Can't see why not..

Kymery

The map shows the same seating chart and they are $799 buckos for those seats...sound GOLD to me!!

Rose

If there was...it would be posted. Doesn't look like they will have the private food/drink/restroom option with P1 tickets. VIP area with EVERYBODY else and I mean EVERYBODY.

Some guy was just on Go Country talking about how they recognize the economy and that's why they dropped the price to $99. My take on it.... they dropped the masses price $99 to keep the masses, and will make up for it by hiking the Reserved/Gold tickets because they know the people with money will still have, and spend, the money.

I can only hope that they divide up the VIP area. One section for VIP wrist band holders only and a separate section (closer to the seating area) for VIP with seats.

I am not sure, maybe Paul, the promotor, I didn't hear who it was or his voice...just the after fact. He is usually who goes on air to announce it with the Dj's

Hey, over 400,000 tax rebate checks were returned due to bad addresses...did you get yours? You may have your funds sitting at the IRS for SC09

What's up with them passing out the wirstbands at the venue?!?

"wristbands will be distributed at the event (exchange ticket for wristband)"

With that many people at the venue trying to get their wristbands, sounds like a recipe for disaster!
I wonder what happend last year for them to change the way they do things.

Countrygurl
11-06-2008, 09:03 AM
There are only 3000 seats, multiple wristband exchange stations and people historically don't all show up at the same moment. It should be fine.

Rose
11-06-2008, 09:12 AM
This means they can send out our tickets ASAP rather than the last week???

Are they trying to cut down on possible counterfits?

Probably cut down on the scalpers and the ebay resellers.

Kymery

Probably the scalpers and the ebay resellers.

Heck, I bet they already all own the Gold by now anyway!! We figure they wont even be offered the day they go on sale, gonna settle for next best....just like last year.

Maybe with the way they are doing it this year the scalpers won't be able to snatch up the tickets if you need to show your ID to pick them up. So don't give up!

Hmmm maybe I misunderstood. I think you only had to show up to "exchange" your ticket for your VIP wristband...tickets will still be mailed. I will re-check..but I think that is how it is gonna still be done.

Rose
11-06-2008, 09:52 AM
I will give Gold (P1) a shot and then like the last two years, I will settle too! Settling ain't that bad of a deal.

I think you just show your ticket for a wrist band?

TheMommie

I will try for "Gold". We will see. I may have to use the Layaway option. Gotta also get all the baby stuff soon, Melissa may be home for Xmas.

Countrygurl
11-06-2008, 09:54 AM
I say this every year. There are only a few hundred seats in P1. Slightly over 300. Yet there are Thousands upon thousands who want so if you do the math, thousands upon thousands of people won't be able to get them.

CG - Can you comment on the reason for the strategy? Is it at all related to the over-crowding in VIP?

If that wristband exchange goes as smoothly as you claim CG, I will buy you a beer!! LOL!!! :p

The one thing I think would really help is if your VIP band was color coordinated with your seat section. I know in my rows, we kept having like 4-5 people in a 2 seat area.

True, they all creep/sneek up and sit in your seat then play dumb when you come back from another stage/potty/beer run!

Does anyone (CG) know whether or not there are additional perks associated with the P1 and P2 seats since the price was raised while the GA prices were dropped?

Rose
11-06-2008, 10:44 AM
If the punishment was being booted out of the concert/venue completely then that practice would stop!

Hopefully SC security will start out like they did on day 2 last year and have people checking tickets at each section "before" you can move forward.

My guess is you have what 95% of the rest of the festival people want but couldn't get for one reason or another.... Reserved seats up really close.. and the awe inspiring VIP wristbands.. and a souvenir seat to take home with you. :)

Ill bet there are wristband stations so that employees do the banding. The wristbands will be put on wrists tight enough not to be able to be taken off and shared.

That might cut down on the heavy use of the VIP area!

I woulnd't mind that. Somehow mine "fell off" while at camp..I freaked then all of the sudden someone said they found one, it was all stretched out!! Strange..like someone tried to jack it from me! Gotta watch them red cups...so I can watch my wrist band!

wow...$799 for Gold circle this year. Last year was 3 days and not that much! WOW maybe just get reserved seats this year, or GA and try for alot of Shake n howdyz instead of close seats. at least they have layaway this year, so we'll see if I hit GOLD in the seat lottery or not. My daughter had a blast last year 7th row up front (since H2H pulled her up on stage), the year b4 we had GA, she wants up close this year too, getting costly, excited about the festival scared about the cost. If I only had my income tax money now

So this is my first year buying tickets and I need questions answered! Last year we won Gen. Ad. tickets, but this year we're wanting to buy VIP's and we're loving the idea of the layaway!

When tickets go on sale, is it through this site, or ticketmaster? I saw someone mention a "lottery," is it an actual lottery, or normal Ticketmaster with first come-first served rush?

And, I know layaway is new this year, but how does that work? Do we rush for the tickets we want, then select the layaway program when we "check out?"

Am I reading this correct: there's a difference between a VIP wristband and a VIP seat? Is it possible to have the VIP wristband, but not the seat, so you're out with the masses?

Countrygurl
11-06-2008, 02:36 PM
http://stagecoachfestival.com/layaway

You need to use the layway buy ticket link to get to the right page on Ticketmaster. It won't be active until tickets go on sale. It is first come first serve.

The only way to get a VIP wristband is to have a reserved seat or win them from a contest.
