I still would like to figure out how to post it here for people who can't access my space.
It looks like quite a few country artists signed up to duet with THE KING.

Rose, I never get tired of Elvis...never. This will be a really nice collection of music. Imagine, 31 years after his death (I remember it vividly, too) his music still sells.

I was living in Huntington Beach, attended Sowers Jr High, and Doug Berry had a major crush and kept "trying" to ask me "out", I kept avoiding him, and while on the phone with him, my mom came in and told me. I went into tears and hung up on him. (hmmm wonder what he thought when I did that?)
I was 14 and we were walking toward Dino's Pizza in Burbank with Kathy (I forget her last name) to play some pinball. I was carrying a little portable handheld radio and the DJ broke through the song and made the announcement that Elvis died. We cried for hours.

I was a teenager shopping in a department store in hacienda heights...It was announced over the intercom system. I could hear wails of crying through out the store. I was stunned. My parents were married in the 1950's so Elvis was very much a part of their life too. I grew up on his music. The women around me cried for days. I still get teary eyed when I listen to some of his music. What a terrible loss, still to this day.
guess what I'm currently listening to and torturing my co-workers with Christmas music in October! This CD is fantastic. Whoever was in charge of mixing Elvis with these GREAT singers did one heck of a job. They allowed Elvis to sing all his signature hooks. The Gretchen Wilson colaboration on Merry Christmas Baby is 8 minutes long and I just love the bluesey way they did it. The Duet artists are:
Martina McBride
Carrie Underwood
LeAnn Rimes
Wynonna Judd
Sara Evans
Amy Grant
Gretchen Wilson
Karen Fairchild & Kimberly Schlapman of Little Big Town
Anne Murray
Olivia Newton-John

Do you like Elvis? Do you like Christmas music? If so... you'll LOVE this CD!! It was given to me as an early gift and I just love it. When I listen to the tracks and the blending of voices I Keep asking myself, how'd they do that??

Do you think we can get Gretchen to sing her song on Thursday?

only if we can get The King on stage with her!! This CD reminds me of how much I really feel the loss of Elvis
have you ever been to Graceland? I went when it first opened and I went this past memorial holiday. It's an amazing place and the tour teaches you so much more about the man and how generous he really was. Crying at the grave sight is commonplace.
rose, i remember when you went and you sharing about it on the boards. = )

here is a link to an E-Card that a friend of mine sent me. You can duet with Elvis YOURSELF! This is too cute.
Happy Birthday Elvis!!!
You would have been 74 today.
