Is anyone else wondering how to afford sc09? If I had to guess it cost me about 2k last year to get the family there with tickets, camping, rv, gas, food and spending $$ for the weekend. Am I the only one wondering how to pull this off? If I don't my little rednecks will disown me. They look forward to SC all year long.

Yes...it will be tough for us also. But we figure this is our vacation. We don't bring the kids (besides, they wouldn't go if we paid them anyway)

RR...take your little ones to D-land in exchange! May just have to barter a bit with em so you and the wifey can hang with us easier.

I am doing my budget right now...just wish I knew how much the seats were going for so I can budget easier.

Hi RR... you bet I'm wondering how I'm going to afford this shin-dig! Last year I shared a 5th wheel with some friends.. but this year I want to rent a motor home. Not cheap. then add gas, camping fees, wrist bands, food, drinks, concert tickets and misc goodies and the price tag goes up. I'm anxiously awaiting the announcement of the ticket prices, wondering if there will be a huge price hike. Sure I can start saving now, but we also have Christmas and a variety of other big ticket events between now and April. I'm feeling the "pinch" just like everyone else.
By the way, RR...any more thoughts about Country Fest East? That's a good deal at $5/ ticket

As far as Disneyland for the kids they would rather do stagecoach. It's the highlight of their year. They do like Disneyland but love their music more. We get 3 in free at D-land so only have to pay the $50 ot 60 for 1 kid. Even with that to we still end up spending a few hundred there on everything else. Last year we bought a friend a ticket with the understanding she was the nanny if we wanted to go out after the show. I'm hoping tix will be cheaper if only 2 days this year. Last year we paid $400 for the rv, $300 in gas, $200 at Costco on food and drinks, 3 tix and camping passes at whatever they were(wife bought em online), then spending $ but we saved lot on food with the rv. No $8 pizza slices for us. I BBQ'ed all week so we'd have food to re heart. As far as country fest east I mentioned it to the wife but didn't hear back. We also want to mix in sea world if we're down south. The $$ are getting tight with SC tix coming up with the holidays too.
