View Full Version : Little Tujunga Fire 10/13/08
When I woke up this morning and opened my shower window I knew the fire had to be big and pretty close. I feel like I've smoked a carton of cigarettes and I'm grateful that I work indoors. Driving to work was challenging...we had to drive in a single lane to avoid all the downed trees and palm frawns. This wind is CRAZY and the sky is a hazy orange.
I work in Chatsworth which is just a few miles from Porter Ranch. I had to go to the bank at lunch and it's crazy out there. Traffic was bumper to bumper on devonshire street. They are using Chatsworth High as an evacuation center which is about 2 blocks away. People were out on the street just watching all the helicopters (never seen so many before).

We drove thru that yesterday about noon...it was noted that it was almost out...damn wind! So sorry for anyone caught up in it. I was caught up in the one by Lytle Creek about 4-5 yrs ago...sucked!
