Man, guys thats the kinda get-away I really need these days. Just a few hours where I can live in a dream world where everything is ok.

Work is getting backed up,
alzhiemer's mother in law is getting harder and harder to take care of.
And today we were informed, Heather my daughter who is 27 weeks along has got to go on complete bed rest as she has had some complications and is now high risk for premature labour now.

Sorry to post about this, but you guys are my friends and I needed to vent.

Now I will go back to praying. Talk to you guys soon.

To get in shape for SC 09 I'm training by having a few red cups while making breakfast on weekends. With that said breakfast is usually about noon on the weekends so the wife can sleep in. If I'm I'm cooking it's also something off the BBQ. Does anybody know if you can get away with a charcoal grill in the el dorado 1? I've gotten mixed answers. It would be great for carne asada in the morning and seafood skewers after the show at night.

Heres the scoop on BBQ"s from experience in the past two years, but does NOT dictate what is to come.

SC07 - Per Rules NO BBQ's allowed, but as we are pulling into town, KPLM, the country radio out there had Paul (the promotor) on the radio announcing that you CAN have BBQ's, so we pulled over at Ralph's and picked up steaks and shrimp and BBQ'd all weekend. Paul even stopped by our camp and sat for a while, chatting about the venue, camping, BBQ'ing etc...We thanked him for allowing bbq's cus "that is what campers do"

SC08 - Per Rules NO BBQ's allowed. Never heard any changes, but brought our's anyway (as it is always in our rig anyway). We had to use it, that is all we had to eat...lit it up and we were told to put it out 1/2 way through cooking our food. I will say about 5 of us in our camping area were lighting them up. If security smelled/saw smoke, they told you to put it out. Now, I am NOT saying it is OK to break the rules...just that we went on the change form the year before and assumed it would be ok that year to...no matter what the rules said, cuz they did change.

So...bring food that you don't have to BBQ just in case!!! It is a toss up.

We were told that even firepits may be allowed for SC09 but that was changed also. I am assuming that the Fire codes are not allowing the BBQ's. I wish they would at least allow propane, not coals, as they have to be dumped somewhere!! How that 1/8" DEAD grass can catch on fire is beyond me, but safety first!!

Y - hey you can email me anytime girl! I have been in premature labor, not got good! I was just telling my son that he was premature...at 8lbs 3 oz...but still a month premature and what I went thru, hospital, meds, bed rest etc.

Let her know I am thinking of her. Take care of herself, relax and do what the Dr. orders!

Be happy worked is backed up! Dougs is slow!!! It is scary with our home adjusting, ready to loose it, and my working only 15 hrs a week now! Nothing is good right now...but we can make it thru it.

Alzheimers sucks...lost my grandmother, doug lost his father...nasty, sad disease. Be strong for her if not for yourself.

Mommie & Doug,

our prayers go out to you and your family.

The memorial concert was for a five year old girl who was mauled to death. It was a fund raiser for the Red Cross to donate blood and money.

copied & pasted from the smoking gun...this guy has been doing some major practicing

Buy This Dad A Brain
Boy, 10, crashes drunk passenger's van after hitting 90 mph
OCTOBER 7--Meet Randy Lewis. The Tennessee man was so plastered Sunday afternoon that he directed a 10-year-old boy to drive his van, which eventually crashed after the child hit speeds of upwards of 90 mph. Lewis, 43, was charged with drunk driving, reckless endangerment, and child abuse. A female friend, Paula Evans, was hit with reckless endangerment and child abuse charges. According to a Sullivan County Sheriffs Office affidavit, when officers responded to the vehicle crash site, they discovered that the totaled 1995 Ford Windstar van (which had flipped on its roof) had been driven by the 10-year-old. The boy was one of three children in the auto; all five of the van's inhabitants were treated for injuries at a local hospital. When arrested, Lewis, pictured in the below mug shot, had cocaine in his system and a blood alcohol content of .26, more than three times the state limit, according to the sheriff's affidavit. He admitted drinking "at least 15 beers, along with some liquor," cops reported. For her part, Evans was spotted by sheriff's deputies shoving pills in her mouth while seated near the overturned van. In a subsequent hospital interview with police, Evans recalled having told Lewis that "the boy was too young to be driving." Lewis is being held on $50,000 bond in the Sullivan County jail, where he has presumably changed out of his unfortunate "Buy This Dad a Beer" t-shirt. (2 pages)

I couldn't believe all the bands and musicians that showed up (even if they were not performing). The place was packed.

I also had bed rest with my 13 year old.It can be very scary.Kymery is right just do as the doctor says. They almost lost both of us during delivery and I won't even get into the infection of my c section that about killed me.The whole brining a new life into this world should be taken very seriously. It will be a blessing to many.
Life is always changing. From taking care of the ones who took care of you when you were small.Just keep joy in your heart and be grateful for each day brings a new prespective....
My joke at home is that they can take it all away and I can be just as happy living as a missionary some where in a poor country .Just with my camera family and of course dog....
Other wise it is always a good day of learning when you wake up on this side of the dirt....
Keep it all in perspective and take a deep breath...
You will look back and learn something from surviving the tough times...
I'll keep you in my prayers.
Gosh watching the stock market makes me want to poor a nice glass of wine and meditate in the jacuzzi....
Yet I know what will be will be and life is too short to get caught up in worldly posessions....

Wow what a blessing...Little babies have to be the most beautiful thing on this earth....
Congrats...
By the way alcohol is always over rated ...Hang over...dehydration...lost memory...making a fool of yourself....not to mention a huge waste of money....
Looks like this is your lucky SC09.....
Cheers to the white clear cup...hehehe

Didn't mean to be a downer...just that life hands you a bowl of prunes sometimes! Be strong. I am just taking life one day at a time these days.

You keep hearing all the suicides due to these hard times, including my mom, life and money taking over people right now. She did what others are doing in masses now! So sad. I hate that money dictates our lives, but that is how it is.

Then when health gets in the way...ughhh!!!

I can see how so many get caught in the lie that only things bring you Joy..
Yet a special joy lives where no one can take it away you have to freely give it.Don't let the bad in life steal joy....

Like counting sheep. Before you go to bed each night count all the blessings you have in this world.Like friends ,children your animals....
Very exciting when you find that there are two things no money can buy True Joy and Love...You can give it away to others yet it can not be bought....
This happened once before in our history and the strong survived to not only see another year but watch life rebuild it's self.Sometimes when we all take life for granted it takes times of desperate measures to finally jump start us ...Then to stand up and make changes and learn from the hurt.
This is that kinda time....
Stand tall my friend this ride has just begun and we will all be so much better for it down the road.:)
