Country Fest East, Lakeside Rodeo Grounds, Saturday, October 25th. Phil Vasser, Jack Ingram, Bucky Covington and the Road Hammers. Tickets $5!!! I bought my ticket! GSF invited all of us down! (ha ha sorry gsf) There a alot of forum members in the southern area, maybe we can meet up again with many of you!!!! Looks like a fun event. I went to www.kson.com for the info and ticket site.

The lakeside rodeo grounds are GA. first come first serve. If you want a bitchin seat, get there at 3 since the gates open at 4.

hi...not sure about spending the night yet. Maybe? (heck if I can make it home from sun valley sat night in one piece...i should be able to do this.. besides GSF does it all the time!!) but we can't beat the cost of admission to see a great line up. I think we do need to get there early like gsf said. get your tickets!

lol. It's true, I do it all the time. Some shows are just to good to miss so I will more then likely drive up to the l.A. area! I'm up there again in Ontario for AJ/ Trace Adkins!

We put GSF in charge of this shin-dig.... I think he already started partying!!

Started partying tonight. Me and the "gang" went to the drive-ins (cheaper then a regular movie) and had some beers.

RR, Please feel free to come on down. Great price and awesome fun. Lakeside Rodeo Grounds...right off the 67 highway.

I have a friend that lives in Lakeside.. said there's a Best Western about 5-10min from the rodeo grounds in Santee....for anyone interested in staying the night and not driving home, this might be an option (Rose?).....unless we all stay with GSF...oh, I forgot, he's taking a GIRL to the concert!!!

I can not wait!! I am getting some boots for the concert on friday =). I am thinking since the Gates open at 4:00pm, music begins at 5:00pm, we get there at 2 or 3, chug a few beers and then go in at 4, and get as close to the stage as possible! Too good of a concert to be in the back!!:)

I'm sorry, it is sold out. If there is any luck, i would try calling, Dalton's Road house, or Wild Bills Western Emporium in El Cajon seeing if they have any left over tickets still for sale. Good luck rounding up a ticket!

Had a blast tonight! It would have been better if Bucky had not had the flu. The road hammers, jack and phil were still awesome! Though Jack was a "little" drunk. lol

I would like to take time to give out a special thanks to the three SC members for coming, HTA, PrncssJess, and FF! It made the night so much better. My buddies all loved you guys and we all agreed to try and do it again real soon. Pics will be up tomorrow from FF and/or Jess. I will post the few I got tonight tomorrow as well.

Thanks again! Country Fest III was a great experience. Too bad its the last one of the year. :(

GREAT concert..lots of fun. GSF, your friends were lots of fun, too! HTA and PrincessJess..great fun! Jack and Phil were awesome.. even if Jack fell down a couple times...he sounded great, never even slurred his words. How can he drink and NOT slurr???
Too bad we were too tired to go out afterwards.. I was beat. We stood for umm, about 6 hours, but we were in front of the stage. Note to self..DO NOT WEAR BOOTS TO A LONG (standing) CONCERT LIKE THIS!..also.. NEVER leave the mosh pit! see you all soon!!

Good times, and it was good to see Nancy and Tyler and to meet Jess! After the day I had yesterday, running 10miles, then having to work, I was BEAT DOWN last nite but that was a fun show! Couldn't believe how people were clearing out during Phil, he was GREAT!!!! They missed out!!

For SC '09 I know my buddy Rob, (the big guy) Brady, Kyle and his sister [And maybe Kyle's g/f if they are still together] are going as their Inaugural year. Along side my regular group that has gone since '07! Its a shame they wont be coming to AJ and TA.

It wasnt too crowded...lol. We got their before the first band started and since the whole venue was GA, Me, my buddy,Nancy, and Jess went straight to the stage! By the end of the night everyone was trying to get as close as we were!

Yeah, I'd say we were only 3-4 people from the rail?? It wasn't bad at first until the drunks started thinking it was a good idea to make their way up front, ping-ponging around and fartin'.....so for the last act I chilled in the back (which was still pretty darn close) and had some room to move! (plus, didn't have to worry about anyone spillin my beers!!! :rolleyes:)
