Kymery has sent me a message that she has been tossed out of here. It looks like she's having the same e-mail issue like I did registering, She can pm but not post. She wanted me to let you all know. Maybe her computer is a dodge.

The phrase "tossed out of here" may not have been the best choice
It implies a ban Hope she get that comadore 64 fixed soon

She also sent me a private message.I have a funny question.
How come she can log in to private message yet her whole name is missing from the member list now?

Well I know she has her hands full with family and I wish her peace and joy to settle in her family as soon as possible.....

I feel her pain. I had to live as a lurker for about a month til I got the e-mail thing figured out and fixed. Just be prepared. If you change e-mail or computers or remote sites you might get sent to the corn field.

THEN... the effin brand new truck has a nice 7" scratch down the right front fender...damn Ontario Dodge

I WANT A BRAND NEW TRUCK, NOT PARTS AND SCRATCHES!!!!

Kymery, husband and I have a Dodge ram, the damn theing will shut off by itself. (has done this three times) we took it to our local dodge dealer/service center and was told that the could not replicate the problem...That is their favorite phrase. Rear end chatters (so my husband says) Dodge gave us a print out that shows a diagram and says it is normal after their thick lube from factory wears off, used to keep it from doing that while you test drive it and hopefully stays until your warranty wears out.. We were told by many people who own Dodge, Chrysler, and Jeep (we have one with many issues too), never take your vehicle to a dealer that is not a five star dealership. We will not buy any of their vehicles again.

Just thinking...have you checked the Fuel Filter? When we got our Chevy, about 2 months later, it would not start...or when started it would just shut off. We called everyone...finally found out that we needed to change the fuel filter...dirt and water get into it. You can "prime" a chevy, by pushing the button on top of the filter to "get you by".

Maybe you have bad fuel...that is IF it is a diesel..should of mentioned that.
That is all I buy.

Sooooo...is it a stick? Chattering sounds familier. I had a stick Dodge and they kept telling me I was "racing it" cuz the blue stripes they saw on the clutch wheel! WTF...i am from a family of pro-racers...baja 100 winners, quad champions...I KNOW RACING...and all i did was commute on the 91fwy...yeah race that beeatch!! After replacing everything in the rear end, they finally put in a whole new one. Everytime I would go to start in 1st and let out the clutch it would "chatter", then go good.

Damn Dodges...I want my chevy back!

But in all defense..with our chevy...we had two batteries and two alternators that came in our truck..heavy duty deisel, and our battery light would come on at wierd times.

OF COURSE COULD NEVER REPLICATE IT. They put on new wire harness's etc...still did it 6 yrs later...we gave up. It ran awesome, just a strange thing.

I also had a strange bogging with my chevy. They could not replicate it, UNTIL i basically sat in their laps and went on a test drive with them...OH. THEN THEY HEARD IT!! ughhhh...IT WAS THE DAMN CALIF FUEL IMMISSIONS makeing my glow plugs go bad. Chevy warranties them now for 200k miles! I had mine replaced 3 times in 5 years under warranty!

my father in law bought his chevy silverado here in la quinta about 4 years ago and took it this year for his smog when tags were due and his buddy there told him it would not pass. after looking into it further they found out it was not equipped with california emission, crap. no wonder it has ran so good. funny it was sold to him in California.. you don't win with the auto makers

He bought from a dealer?? or a private party, cuz if from a dealer he can get a new truck i would think! It is illegal to sell a brand new truck without emmissions.

He bought from dealer, but after thinking about it he decided to keep it, more power and better gas mileage.

You have to look for the smog guys who are blind. That worked well for me when I had to smog my trucks. They also don't read dollar bills well. You usually have to throw a couple extras in to make it pass.

It is an automatic, according to the dealerships, Dodge trucks are made to shut off if they experience a sudden jolt. It stopped once when backing up and once in Corona idling when they had that freeway shooting after the kidnaping/ bank robbery thing about a year and a half ago. Unfortuantely it is not a diesel, my husband wishes it was. They said rear end chattering is normal when the grease it is shipped with wears down a little, I'm not buying that excuse. It has not shut off like that for over a year so I consider myself lucky so far.

Lizzy, it sucks when they can't replicate what you know YOUR truck/car is doing wrong. Especially being a little blonde girl, they just look at me like I am weird!

There are a few boards out there that talk about Dodges and Chevy's just shutting down for apparently no reason. Here is the chevy one, my hubby remembered it! http://forums.automotive.com/70/17406/chevrolet/silverado-shutting-off/index.html#6554396

That's so funny. I was telling the rental car girl who brought me back to the dealer that I am gonna dress in a suit with my hair up and no make up, and tie next time so they will beleive me...think they would notice?

Thanks for the info!!

No prob. I did the same search for dodge...just try it, use different phrases to describe what is happening, and tons of info pops up. I always do this so that I am a bit more educated on the issue before I go to the dealer/mechanic so they cant "take me for a ride" so to speak!

By the way, I still dont have my dodge back. They called me last night and said that the paint may not be all the way dry so wait till Friday, they said by 10 i should hear. I am sick of rental cars.

But: I got to drive a Charger for two weeks and now a 1500 Hemi crew cab 2x4 truck.

Charger sucks! You MUST have the R/T if you buy one, the one I had was gutless v-6, couldn't get out of it's own way! My truck would kick its arse. The HEMI...NICE!! fast truck! Just not 4x4... but coool truck!

Im telling them if I need a loaner again, then I want the CHALLENGER!! WHOO HOOO!! Those are awesome! But I would settle for a Viper

Hey I would settle for the Viper too...
I'm like you I always research and spend some time online and finding out what is going on with other owners with my problem. You can find lots of techinal service bulletins that are sent to the dealerships garages, but lots of dealers do not like to try doing all of those tests and such, costs them too such money.
Sorry you still had a rental car, rental cars are nice, but I miss my truck when, it's gone.. Guess it has my a$$ impression to my liking..haha
