I just received an 09 announcement and it said back to Friday & Saturday???
Is that Saturday & Sunday instead???

Haha..I was wondering the same thing when I read it. Wasn't it Sat and Sun the first year? Or was i confused with all that drinking and music? Friday is when they added the Eagles this year. Think they got that wrong....
It was definitely Sat/Sun.... I was confused reading that in the email too! I have to say... I'd like Fri/Sat better. Everyone can get Friday off, start the party early, party thru Saturday and stay for the whole show (won't have the mass exodus during the last act) and have Sunday to get back home. IMO

Whoo hoo..i did the survey and Hell yes i would buy my ticket if they went on sale now..but ONLY if they had a line up! Saves money for Christmas and the NFR! Hard to buy things in November during the holidays.

Very true! Sunday night concerts are tough. People do opt to take Fridays off instead of monday. Something to consider.
haven't done my feedback yet. but i would say the same thing... i would absolutely secure a ticket today if it were available. of course, we're die hards, and they know that!! ha ha
If it's Friday & Saturday then I would need to take off 1/2 day Thursday and Friday. If Stagecoach is Saturday & Sunday then 1/2 day off on Friday and Monday. It doesn't matter because I'm going to be there no matter what.
Survey....hehehe they should just take all of our message board suggestions for a better Stagecoach. Love the "what beer do you drink"? YUCK....bacaradi please.

I would only want Fri/Sat if they did a FULL DAY on Fri....none of this late start nonsense...it was fine this year cuz we had 2 full days Sat and Sun....but yeah, that would be nice to not have the mass exodus during the last act on the last nite (which is usually the MAIN HEADLINER! :eek: ) very distracting to those of us who can stay.....

i had to give 2 different answers on that question cuz it depends on whether i'm only drinkin one or two, or if i'm drinking all day!! stagecoach is a time for marathon beer - coors light!!! if it were just one or two, i'd pick newcastle. ;)

Yeah...I think they need to start earlier..? I really am NOT getting my monies worth if I cant get to all three stages..I really can only see, what...5-6 acts? I am bumbed I missed sooo many good ones.
Ok..I KNOW I KNOW, it is a festival...just my thinking..hate to miss someone I know is 400 yds away. Ok..so I am greedy too! hehehehe
Either way..no matter what I am there!! go SC 09!!

I was like, um she cannot be my friend anymore! Nice trick there honkeytonk! I'm fine with taking Friday and Monday off for the Saturday and Sunday show. But I was so ready to take Thursday off too so I could party with Kymery and Festival and Hodgee! They had so much fun on Thursday and I missed it!

as I said before the survey was only shut down a few hours by technical error and went back up and remains up until I believe the end of this week.

Well, at least we can plan, now. Yay! I sort of wish SC was before Coachella, too. It will be interesting to see if they add a Friday show again this year, or when the gates open up for campers. Can't wait for the line up announcement..

The annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and the subsequent Stagecoach Country Music Festival will be moved up a week earlier than ever before, it was announced today.
The Los Angeles-based Goldenvoice promoters said the 10th annual Coachella will be held April 17, 18 and 19 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio. The third annual Stagecoach festival will be held April 25 and 26 at the same venue, but officials said "campers should plan on rolling in as early as the evening of the 23rd."
Coachella has been presented the last week of April or the first week of May every year since its inaugural event in 1999, when it was held over two days in October. Stagecoach has been held the first week of May the past two years.
Coachella is the most acclamed outdoor indie music festival of the decade, as determined by the concert industry trade publication Pollstar. It has presented headliners such as Coldplay, Radiohead, Prince, Rage Against the Machine, Nine Inch Nails and Beck.
The lineup for Coachella is usually announced around the end of January while the Stagecoach lineup has been announced before Christmas. But this is the earliest the dates have been announced for Coachella and Stagecoach.
Hotel rooms for Coachella normally sell out months in advance and hotels usually increase their rates around the traditional weekend of Coachella. Stagecoach draws a bigger camper and RV audience.

I could be very wrong...but I think they don't allow RV'ing at Coachella and I think this was the first year they tried tent camping???

There has been camping at Coachella since at least 2005.....thats the earliest year I can verify via my friend who has been attending since 05 but she was pretty sure that wasn't the first year.....

There is no RV camping at coachella and they have had camping before 05. I have a camping shirt from 04. I don't remember if they had in 03.

I made my pickup truck look like a stagecoach last year and that wasn't good enuf to pass as an RV.
Yous guys got too many bad rules! :confused:
P.S. Can anybody tow my new tent to Coachella?

Scarr, read about your new rig! Congrats. Hope you have a bathroom by SC09 or the jacuzzi thing could be an option.
