Ok ....
First I go into withdrawls not using cell in the car.It was probably a good thing since we all should be driving...
Now they have found cell phones to create brain cancer and increase the odds of cancer....
OK they get us hooked on gas cars, cell phones and debt cards...
Now feds are taking over banks ( no ATM or withdrawals for three days).....
Are SUV's are to expensive to drive....
Now toss the cell phone.....???
I just dropped my land line (for goodness sakes).....
What else is next?
Any idea's??????
I'm HOOKED on blue tooth and don't even like having the phone near my ear. I've been this way for about 2 years now and I SWORE that I would never be one of those people.
Same thing goes with bottled water. Buy water? How silly is that. As that Billy Covington song goes...we used to drink from a garden hose. Now look at us all.

Water....
I forgot about that one...
As for blue tooth.
They say anything that has a trans wave including blue tooth?
Cancer is not a good thing.I wonder years from now what else will be a cause?
Yes I have a blue tooth for 2 years but always forget to charge it..lol
Bad me....
My mom was a ovarian cancer survivor at 24. So because of her I had to have a pap smear every six months since I was 13. Now, they discover that ovarian cancer is a virus and it was not necessary for me to do that. Little by little medical technology is keeping us alive longer and longer as more treatments become available for all types of health issues.

Bottled water because of the plastic in your body is bad for us to....
Then I saw something where they put a flame to water from the tap and a huge flame came out of the water from so many chemicals in it....
Crap what are we gonna do?

Ovarian cancer is very scary...
Guess they keep learning more and more and it is wonderful...:)

Any idea's??????
Everyone just needs to calm down....so far NO ONE has shown the data...I am talking statistics (ACTUAL NUMBERS and PERCENTAGES)...so far its all "we think" and "some data suggests" blah, blah blah...no one has the hard facts (or not publishing them, anyways)..not saying it isn't a possibility, just saying we need to see all the facts...think of all the thousands of people that have been using cell phones FOR YEARS..are they all dropping dead left and right from brain tumors...nope...its called misplaced fear...people are so worried about a brain tumor from a cell phone, yet they get in their car every day without a second thought and drive which has such a higher probability of killing you dead than getting the tumor...look up the chance of you being killed in your own car...MUCH higher probabilitythan the cell phone tumor!!!

Good advise honkytonk! I have heard everything from the bottled water, if it gets hot from sitting in the car, the crap in the plastic leaks into the water, etc...cell phones in your lap causes ovarian cancer, and this cell phone thing has been around for a decade about the brain tumours!! duhhh
Anyway...back to Stagecoach...I will have my cell and bluetooth with me then! lol

And do you remember those old cell phones?? It was like holding a brick to your head...they weighed like, 13lbs....LOL!!!! If any of them cause cancer, its those old ones...probably safer to stick your head in a microwave!!!
Of course its always better to be safe than sorry regarding things like this, but it is also important to keep things in perspective....and with the mega-hype from the media it gets harder to do!!:)

Pittsburgh Cancer Center Warns of Cell Phone Risks
Pittsburgh cancer institute warns of cell phone-cancer risk, defying published research
By JENNIFER C. YATES and SETH BORENSTEIN Associated Press Writers
PITTSBURGH July 24, 2008 (AP)
The Associated Press
The head of a prominent cancer research institute issued an unprecedented warning to his faculty and staff Wednesday: Limit cell phone use because of the possible risk of cancer.
The warning from Dr. Ronald B. Herberman, director of the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute, is contrary to numerous studies that don't find a link between cancer and cell phone use, and a public lack of worry by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Herberman is basing his alarm on early unpublished data. He says it takes too long to get answers from science and he believes people should take action now — especially when it comes to children.
"Really at the heart of my concern is that we shouldn't wait for a definitive study to come out, but err on the side of being safe rather than sorry later," Herberman said.
No other major academic cancer research institutions have sounded such an alarm about cell phone use. But Herberman's advice is sure to raise concern among many cell phone users and especially parents.
Ummm.Guess we should call them....
Your correct that it is just a concern.......

Traffic Deaths Fall as Gas Prices Climb
The Upside of High Gas Prices: Less Drivers on the Road and Less Accidents
By MARK WILLIAMS
AP Business Writer
COLUMBUS, Ohio July 22, 2008 (AP)
The Associated Press
Rising prices at the gas pump appear to be having at least one positive effect: Traffic deaths around the country are plummeting, just as they did during the Arab oil embargo three decades ago.
Researchers with the National Safety Council report a 9 percent drop in motor vehicle deaths overall through May compared with the first five months of 2007, including a drop of 18 percent in March and 14 percent in April.
Preliminary figures obtained by The Associated Press show that some states have reported declines of 20 percent or more. Thirty-one states have seen declines of at least 10 percent, and eight states have reported an increase, according to the council.
No one can say definitively why road fatalities are falling, but it is happening as Americans cut back sharply on driving because of record-high gas prices. Fewer people on the road means fewer fatalities, said Gus Williams, 52, of Albany, Ga., who frequently drives to northern Ohio. "That shows a good thing coming out of this crisis." He has also noticed that many motorists are going slower.

The problem is until there is hard data its all who you want to believe, you know? For every scientist that says it can cause cancer, there is at least one that says it doesn't.....SHOW US THE DATA!! ;) but, yes, like I said better safe than sorry, its not doing any harm keeping your cell away from your head thats for sure, although all the companies that make hands free devices are skipping all the way to the bank, I am sure.

MOTHERS OF LITTLE GIRLS BEWARE!
Beware when you are traveling to China or buying from Chinese stores in SA, just try to be careful when you are buying hair bands down the road who knows what it is made from?? .
These Hairbands were made from used condoms and threads. That was so disgusting, I would not want anyone to use them!!
BEIJING (AFP) - Used condoms are being recycled into hair bands in southern China threatening to spread sexually-transmittable diseases they were originally meant to prevent, state media reported Tuesday
In the latest example of potentially harmful Chinese-made products, rubber hair bands have been found in local markets and beauty salons in Dongguan and Guangzhou cities in southern Guangdong province, China Daily newspaper said.
'These cheap and colorful rubber bands and hair ties sell well ... threatening the health of local people,' it said.
Despite being recycled, the hair bands could still contain bacteria and viruses, it said.
'People could be infected with AIDS, (genital) warts or other diseases if they hold the rubber bands or strings in their mouths while waving their hair into plaits or buns,' the paper quoted a local dermatologist who gave only his surname, Dong, as saying. A bag of ten of the recycled bands sells for just 25 sen (three cents), much cheaper than others on the market, accounting for their popularity, the paper said.
A government official was quoted as saying recycling condoms was illegal.
In response, it launched a public relations blitz this summer aimed at playing up efforts to strengthen monitoring systems.

Bluetooth also transmits RF energy that can cause cancer. The sun transmits lots of various energies that can cause cancer.

To prove the shielding, wrap your cell phone in a sheet of foil and try to call it. You should get the same effect to the caller as if the phone was turned off or out of range.

Radiation from cell phones has always been in the news in one way or another, not always for anything good, but with rumors of it causing tumors and other nasty things like sterility in men, so apart from either dressing completely in tin foil to protect yourself from the rays, or alternatively not using a phone at all to be sure that your are completely safe, what else is there that could possibly protect you from the dangers of using the cell phone?
Isa Body Wear an underwear designer and manufacture based in Switzerland think that they have come up with the solution.
They have developed a pair of under pants that are said to prevent any of the cell phones radiation from getting through to the mans vital organ and bits, could this be the life saver that all of us men have been waiting for?
The underwear is manufactured by placing some silver thread into the fabric of the cloth, which we know is supposed to block the radiation from cell phones and other signals too, if we believe all the conspiracy theories. But like many of these types of product there is proof, unlike when you buy something that actually does what its says on the box, like software etc, but in this case how would know if it was working, there are no tests to prove that they do.
If you believe that these radiating proof under pants would benefit your lifestyle, there is only a limited supply of 4000, they are all black and will cost you around $24 per pair, enjoy!

Actually, your home WiFi wireless computer network transmits at the same frequency as your microwave. You can prove this by downloading something on your laptop near your running microwave over and see that the download gets errors or is slowed down. Your wireless connection may even drop out.
